Tons of UK beers with a good selection of European and rarer American.

Things must have changed here in the last years..... The selection of english beers was "middle-of-the-road"-like, supported by the usual suspects from Belgium and the U.S. . It is good to have a look there, when You’re in town, but no reason for a detour!

Good large bottle shop in york, plenty of english and continental beers, there tends not to be many "rare" beers, but plenty of choice nonetheless. They do get the odd rarity in, a few american beers that are rare in the UK and some decent belgians. Well worth a visit.

That seemed to be the best bottle shop in York from what I’ve seen. There are quite a few on Stonegate street, so you’ll definitely want to walk here, it’s an old and attractive touristy street anyway. A couple of imports sit beside the vast collection of English bottles, at least 200 of them, many from the midwest. A must if you want bottles in Yorkshire.

As of this rating, their website proper is supposed to be up ’within the week’ but the bottle list is online. This store is affiliated with the Evil Eye Lounge down the street, and carries everything that the Evil Eye beer store does plus more. Loads of beer and glassware gift packs from both the UK and Belgium. Small selection of American micros includes Flying Dog, Sierra Nevada, and Anchor. Huge and varied selection of British micros including the full Samuel Smiths line - it would be pointless to list some of the other brewers they have, because they seem to all be here. Over 300 British bottled beers. A solid if unspectacular Belgian line, with Deus, Rochefort 8/10, des Rocs, and many others. Germany makes an appearance with maybe 50 beers including Aventinus. Guinness Belgian and Nigerian FES are available. Small but varied selection of glassware. This place just opened in March and by the looks of it, they do good business - place is busy and well-stocked. Recommended.
