Plenty of dedicate free parking right in front. Atmosphere is typical Sharp Edge with small outdoor area and a little to go bottle area which was caged and locked. Service was good. Selection is primarily Belgian beers, however nothing hard to get. Pricing is pretty high. They did have some Thomas Hardy barlywine starting at $175 (ridiculous). I might go back, but won’t go out of my way.

Located in a nondescript shopping center way out yonder in the south hills of Pittsburgh. I’m always a bit underwhelmed by these Sharp edge places. Maybe it’s the fact that the food is expensive and not particularly tasty, the beer list though extensive tends to be expensive, and how there’s a lot of repetition between the locations. Not that I had a bad time or there was some terrible incident, I just don’t look forward to any element of these places.

3 people working the entire place on a Saturday. Waited for a table for over 15 minutes. Not because there wasn’t a place to sit, but because there was no one to seat us. It wasn’t like the 3 people that were there were swamped, they just weren’t there. The were in back doing something, what we don’t know. Two guys at the bar waited at least as long for refills. The food was great, the apps are a little over priced. $10 for 2 sticks of chicken with a bottled BBQ sauce is a little over the top. The selection of beer is great but a tad over priced. I can deal with overpriced food, if the service makes up for it. It did not here.

PA Disclaimer: The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires purchase of beer by the case from "distributors" or singles/sixers/12packs from bars/restaurants. Understandably, you should expect to be price-gouged when purchasing anything less than a case.

This is my RE-RATE. My previous score was a 53 but I’m upgrading it to 68 mainly because repeated visited have led me to believe the service isn’t horrible, it’s just hit-or-miss. I’ve also started to time my visits to correspond with special pricing on beer and food.

Overall, great beer selection with a Belgian emphasis. High prices unless you time your visit around specials.

Being from Washington County, this place is just amazing. A small bar, some TVs, dartboard. A great selection, many bottles, a good tap list, had a few gems! Decent prices minus the insane 300$ for a 1980s Thomas Hardy. Very nice. Easy to find on 19. Awesome.

I am a big fan of the Sharp Edge, particularly the Creekhouse and the original. I also like the new one that opened downtown. I was very excited to find out they were opening one a little closer to my home. However I was a little disappointed when I went there. Being a Sharp Edge the beer selection is very good, especially the Belgians. Food is also fairly good, not great. And service isn’t bad either. It’s the ambiance of the place that I don’t like. The other Sharp Edge’s each have their own unique feel to them. This place feels no different than an Applebee’s albeit with a much better beer selection. It’s the closet Shar Edge to me but I’d rather travel to the others.

Easily the best selection of beers I have seen. The actual place isn’t that cool, but the service and food are good. It is definitely place you can go with the family for dinner or just to have a few drinks.

Nice addition to the Sharp Edge family. I grew up on the Creekhouse seemed more yuppie than I was expecting. Nice atmosphere...small bar that looks like it would get filled easily. Sat in dining area. Took the waiter a while to notice we were there but once he did he was great. Selection was great, just like the other Sharp Edge’s. Didn’t try the food, but I’m sure it’s as good as the other locations. My only problem with the place was the value. 6 drafts = a $65 bill (including tip). I don’t hold it against the place as I understand they have huge overhead, but I could’ve had those same 6 beers somewhere else for half that. If it really bothered me I wouldn’t keep coming back. Nice place!

I heard about the place from my sister and she talked about it so much I had to try it for my self and she didn’t let me down. Sharp Edge Brasserie had the largest selection of beer I have ever seen and their late night food specials are great. Also if you sit at the bar they offer free samples of their pages of beer. I have been back a few times and keep trying new beers i recently had a British strawberry beer which was to my surprise very good. I live close and will visit often.

I’d rate the food higher, but I have yet to eat there. My father-in-law likes the food, but his palate is different from mine. Fantastic Belgian selection, often featuring a beer specifically brewed for them by a Belgian brewery. I actually can’t wait to visit my in-laws again just to go to this place.
