76 Was well impressed at the quality. For a change a German brewer with a passion for flavour! The Zwickelbier was very refreshing and for Germany quite hoppy! The Schwarze Karl was jet-black and flavoursome, but being a hop-head for me the star (of my 3 week trip probably) was the seasonal, I.P.A. (yes in Germany!!) which was very hoppy, no fizz, dark gold in colour and a sweet fruity taste which ends in delightful hoppy bitterness. A must visit if in town! |
76 Very nice place, although its a bit hidden and not easy to find if you dont know if there. Great location, very friendly service and I really liked there beers. Will definetly visit them again. |
34 I’m assuming the name references the enormous bust of Karl Marx across the street. I won’t speak to the politics, but it’s certainly a good landmark to choose. Reminded me of an American chain restaurant/bar. Cookie-cutter and charmless. Beers were terrible! |
