It will be missed a little but what is coming in now is going to be way better. Sorry to see the space open for so long. The service always sucked and did the food. The ambiance was pretty good for being in the stadium. Prices were moderate. Actually pretty good for being downtown in a major city and in a stadium.

In my most recent trip, I got a delectable fried green tomato BLT and a good, not great, smoked doppelbock. Perhaps my idea of the value is skewed compared to some other reviewers, but my beer was but $2, and so at the least they must have some very good deals. Good atmosphere, helpful service (I didn’t quiz them about the beers, unfortunately.), and (from what I’ve had) tasty food. I am looking forward to going back, even though they aren’t necessarily my favorite local brewer.

Ambiance is modern sports pub with full service bar. Seems like the kind of place the business men go to for lunch to catch up on ESPN. Service was average, and our food took an appropriate amount of time to arrive. Selection is limited mostly to their beers, with a few guest bottles. Their "guest tap" was Coors Light, and they are fortunate that I am not giving them a zero in selection for that joke. Food was the best part of our evening; my hot brown was on par with the best in the city, and we also had a fried green tomato appetizer. Value on their own beers was good: I had a seven beer sampler for eight bucks. Food, however, was a little high for the quality. I would return here for the food, not the beer. The beer is not bad, but it’s nothing to call home about.

Browning’s has been my favorite local brewery for a while now, although BBC has been competing much more capably as of late. Browning’s She-Devil IPA is on par with many IPAs found nationally and goes really well with what some claim to be the best burger in town. I have always been pleased with every aspect of the food and drink at Browning’s save the price. As many have noted, the tab you receive after a blissful meal, although truthfully only a few dollars more than you would expect, quickly brings you back to reality. This place won’t break the bank, but it isn’t a destination to consider if you are looking for someplace cheap.

Accidently found this place calling to us after we tried to get into Cumberland Brews and Graceland Brewing Company, both of which were closed before 4 on a Monday. Around the corner from GBC, this one had a gigantic ’OPEN’ sign and completley free parking out front. Very neat interior, lots of brewing related artwork and copper kettles and brewing equipment proudly on display behind glass behind the bar. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and very funny/friendly. He helped us with all our questions, helped us find our way out of town afterwards, and was class all the way. Can’t speak for the food, but the sampler was a great deal. All nine available beers in 3 oz. samplers for $5.50. Haven’t been able to find better than that.

(Visited 7-14-08) The wife and I went to downtown Louisville for a day and stumbled upon this place for lunch. Brewpub itself looked very nice. The server was a little lax, but that just met more time for us to cause trouble. Food- pricey and not all that great. Who’s bright idea was it to put chipotle sauce and potato skins together?- ugh! Brews- 6 in house with 2 guest taps. Thought that they would have more selection than that but oh well. Most were run of the mill IMHO and at one dollar per sample- OUCH! Overall- ok place to visit, but I wouldn’t be holding my breath to see if I go back anytime soon.
