The Green Leafe Cafe

Visited out of tourist season, so it was easy to grab a bite here without a wait. Food was just OK. Beer selection was pretty large with a decent amount of the more commonly available regional offerings, nothing out of the ordinary. Good vibe, as most others were just students hanging out. Decent option.

I came here several years ago and the beer selection was great. Now out of the 100 bottles 10 remain. Their selection is not very good either.

44 taps and 100+ bottles. Nothing really unusual, but a good selection, friendly staff, and a pleasant unhurried atmosphere.

This was our college standard, being the only true bar near campus. Too bad we had no idea the beer was so good.Great bar..go if you’re in town.

Really great pub environment with mostly a young crowd. A little youthful noise. Good food and great beer selection and knowledgable service.

Enjoyed a few brews here I wasn’t familiar with. Medium-sized but well rounded draft list, bigger bottle selection. Disappointed that they didn’t have anything on cask. The facilities are a little run down. Smelled a little funky like stale spilled alcohol and bad air flow. Service was fine- though the server we got was not well-versed in the beer selection- I think she was the hostess filling in for another server. Food was just ok- went for the fish and chips and the fish was overdone and the chips a little mushy. They were also out of one of the only vegetarian (no meat or fish) things on the menu, leaving my cousin to a (smallish) salad. Pricing was average. I can see this being a good place to hang out and grab a good brew, and, if you happen to be hungry, some grub. Or just hang and have a brew and get your dinner somewhere else.

Pretty decent bar. Selection was good, had some things that i’ve never seen before. Went here a couple years ago and the ambience was much better. This time it was more of a sports bar with dancing scene then a old pub to relax. Service was fine.

Very cool place in Colonial Williamsburg about ten feet from William & Mary’s campus. This place has a sort of "mug club" where you get massive pours of the the beers on tap for a discount. Pretty much everything on tap is craft with a focus on American craft and a few random English/Scottish/Welsh beers. Bottle list is large and I found about 2-3 beers I had never heard of before. Atmosphere is great- a huge college bar and a ton of fun. Can’t remember what night I went but it was either Friday or Saturday and it was packed to gills and a complete riot. Very cool vibe and cool people. Excellent all around.
