I'm not even sure this is a place of interest any longer and I don't see too many people drinking Bia Hoi either. The area is full of marketing girls pushing Tiger and other mass produced beers and that's what people seem to be drinking these days. Maybe it should be the International Tiger corner now!

This isn’t an actual establishment, just a "beer corner" and not worth coming to, as they’re just serving up macro lager now for tourists. The place is unbearably crowded, so beware. Nothing of interest here for the rater.

Again, this isn’t really a specific place, but a group of places to sit around in the street and drink bia hoi. The beer is about the same as any other bia hoi place, cold and light. The area, though, is full of tourists. This is the major tourist part of Hanoi, and is thus the major tourist place to get cheap beer. There are bia hoi places all over Hanoi. Getting a cheap beer isn’t really the draw, as much as sitting in the street and enjoying it on a small stool in a cool town. I did find another "bia hoi corner" in Hanoi that I liked much better and was more full of locals than tourists. I think I’m going to add that spot...

Bia Hoi corner is done, beer in a bag is gone, it is dominated by a handful of cafes and their Bia hoi(which from the pics is Halida beer) is now 15,000 dong still cheap but no locals are drinking here just backpackers.... Who are mostly drinking bottles of macro-crap. A few shops down from the corner to the East I saw shops with kegs of bia Hoi for 5000 dong a glass (25cents US). These places are worth checking out.

I’ve been in this very strange and very difficult place to rate in 2009 ... It’s a sort a small roundbound with a sort of "bar" on everyside ... You take your seat on this very small plastic chair and start drink the only beer available " bia hoi" for the price of 3000 dong (26000 dong is 1 euro ) ... A funny experience and the quality of the is not so bad like someone could think ...

Sit on plastic benches next to the street drinking 10 cent beers with food provided by wandering salesmen. Great in so many ways.

When reading up before my trip to Hanoi I was sceptical as to whether this place was worthy of an RB entry, but having been I have no further doubts. It’s not really the quintessential authentic bia hoi experience in that very few locals go there, but chances are you’ll end up here a few nights like every other tourist in town. You’ll meet people from all over the world. There’s one place which serves beer much colder and better than the others by the end of the day. I can picture which one it is but trying to describe it would be a waste of time. Just keep trying places until you get there. You’ll soon realise that drinking warm bia hoi isn’t really sustainable, though others seem to manage. Rating for value doesn’t even make sense when beers cost 3000VND. Police honk their horns as they advance so you can move your chairs (temporarily) off the road whilst they pass. The guys selling books also sell weed. Very memorable.
