54 Acceptable selection for high prices; would not be my first place to visit in Nice but good fpr a midday coffee and a glass of beer |
28 Another typical French café in a shopping street with a big terrace, this one on the main street. I was quite disappointed by the place as it looked like it might be nice, but it wasn’t. There was a fair selection of Belgian and French beer, but nothing special and more expensive than elsewhere. |
56 On the main avenue in Nice that is lined with shops on either side of the central tramway, this large French cafe in style is midway between the main station area and the public park where it ends fairly close to the seafront and Old Town. It’s fairly sterile looking inside but when the weather is nice hardly anyone sits in here, however the terrace area facing into the main street gets packed and you’ll be lucky to find a table right away in the summer months. The beer selection is fairly extensive, although probably bland in most Frenchmen’s eyes, however for foreign visitors it will probably turn up a beer or two of interest that’s hard to find outside of France, none of which could be described as cheap or good value for money. |
40 Perfect location in the shopping street, but not more than just a cafe with few beers. |
42 A typical French cafe which also functions as a tourist trap. It is very difficult to find a good selection of Craft beer in Nice, however I have discovered that Vini Mundo do have a great selection of treasures such as Pale Ale’s, IPA’s, DIPA’s, Barleywine and other yummy stuff |
42 Rather expensive, not too good selection. However, it’s and oasis for you during your wife’s shopping :) |
40 OK selection, but nothing really special. A few beers like Kwak or Delirium Tremens, that I didn’t spot at that many places (some super markets, yes). Though a few more beers than Les Distilleries Idéales, I stil prefer the latter for cosyness. |
56 With De Klomp now out of business, Cafe de Lyon is probably the place in Nice with the greatest selection. French micro/craft beers totally absent though - you may have to go to Vence for those.
Great location for people watching. |
