I’m in the wrong bar. I mean... I’m not. But I am. It’s Saturday night. The music is loud. I am surrounded by people half my age. Still I was passing and it would be rude not to. So here I am. Still. Free WiFi and quick service. And the beer list isn’t too shabby: four cask and four rotating keg on top of an interesting regular or two. There are also plenty of cans and bottles, many of which I’d not seen before: Drygate, Williams Bros and Fyne as well as US staples such as Anchor. Short of being a destination but worth giving a go.

Modern, slightly offbeat draft selection, not hugely exciting but decent quality.

Munro’s is a good stopping point in between Bon Accord and Inn Deep/Valhalla’s Goat. Has a modern bar/restaurant sort of feel to it. They have a decent enough selection of Keg, cask and bottles on offer, mostly from Scottish breweries. Think along the lines of Loch Lomond/Williams Bros/BrewDog in terms of beer. Nothing super-exciting, but some new stuff was on offer. We never indulged in the food, but the lunch menu sounded good and was pretty cheap. Not a place to go out your way to, but worth stopping past if you are in the area. Not a bad venue.

Ambiance: I’ve stuck it at 3 as I’ve only been early evening on two occasions and it was quiet both times. It’s a nice place but not having been there when it’s busier or they’ve got something on it’s hard to judge it. Service: Again, I haven’t been there when it’s been busy but the bar service was excellent and is helped by having knowledgeable staff. Selection: Always changing, invariably at least a couple I’ve not had and with good standard lagers as well as the guest crafts and casks. Food: N/A, I haven’t tried it yet. Value: In the middle. It’s probably about what I’d expect for a pint of something I might not be able to try elsewhere. Overall: 14/20. I suspect it’d go up if/when I get to go more often, try the food etc. But from my brief visits I am keen to go again.

Have only been once for lunch but I liked this place. The food I had was very good. Lentil soup followed by haggis and jalapeno pizza. Though the soup bowl was a bit small. The range of beers is good with both cask ales and modern craft beers on tap as well as some bottled beers.

A new "craft" beer bar owned by Maclays between Inn Deep & Bon Accord. Clunky layout with a large table blocking the way to the bar. Large screen showing Sky Sports & quite loud music. 4 cask & 4 keg beers. Friendly but inexperienced staff. Beer selection good but not really exciting. Food looked good. Not really sure about this place. Not got the interesting beers like BrewDog or the traditional comfort of Bon Accord. Need to visit again for the food & when staff are more experienced.
