It definitely takes a certain personality and mindset to enter this establishment, but if you fit the bill, it’s well worth it. This place is the picture of tacky dive bar, but it’s warm and welcoming instead of dark and depressing. During Christmas season the walls and ceilings were covered, almost haphazardly, with cheesy decorations, but in a goody and charming sort of way. They’ve got an average tap selection (dozen taps mixed macro and craft), and with rotating $5 pint specials, it’s not a bad deal. The atmosphere and beer selection is a welcome reprieve from the "bro" vortex that this block of the city always threatens to fall into. It’s tough to say how knowledgeable the bartenders were, but they were definitely enthusiastic, high energy, entertaining, and could at least give an idea as to the taste of a given beer. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a destination for beer, but if you’re caught in this area ...

this is not a beer bar. i dont know why this bar is on this site. probably someone from the bar added it to encourage visitors. don’t waste your time
