78 Recently renovated by new owners Lion, this place has a sub-tropical feel with both indoor and outdoor seating. On tap there are five of their own brews plus a cider, all of which are available in three glass sizes at reasonable prices. Service was attentive while we had lunch and all staff possessed better than average knowledge of the products. Tasting paddles are available (four, 200ml glasses for $14) and all beers were of good quality. The food menu consists of share plates that were all fresh and tasty. On weekends at 2pm there is a free brewery tour which finishes with a taste of each beer. Worth a visit. |
76 all beers on the paddle were very good. Service was excellent. The barman even offered to deliver the samples to my table two by two because it was a hot day. Well worth the visit |
52 An expansive place located a few minutes’ drive from the centre of town. You can do a paddle of their regular 6 beers for $18. Service is friendly enough. The interior is pretty expansive and they have a very large deck that is pleasant to chill at. Beer quality is extremely weak - almost all their beers left a lot to be desired, not sure what would even inspire such blandness. If you had to pick one of the two breweries in town, definitely hit up Stone & Wood instead. |
62 Attached to a nice backpackers hostel, it is located away from the main part of town but not too far. They only serve what they brew on site which is good. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious, the beers are reasonably priced too. The service is fast but not friendly. I would definitely go back. |
