Nice rare place. You will not find many places like this. Volunteers are running the place. Very friendly and helpful. 8 taps, but most of them are macro lagers. A couple of decent ones also. But it is a fridge at the end of the bar. Have a close look there, and you will surely find something ok. You can bring your own food and eat it here also. Ørsted Ølbar is just down the road. So pop inn there afterwards

As the previous review very through has described this place is not a dedicated craft beer place but a place for people that like to travel and have dedicated their life to travel. As far as beer goes there are always a few good Danish micros on tap: Amager, Mikkeller, Beer Here etc.. I´ve been here both for a beer and travel presentations and the volunteers always provides a good service. Go for the travel presentations and enjoy a beer. It´s not a dedicated beer place - Ørsted Ølbar is just nearby. Good prices by Copenhagen standards.

Ratebeerians visiting this place will immediately notice two things: 1) It is right next to "Ørsted Ølbar", which is one of the top-10 craft beer places to visit in Copenhagen 2) It is run by volunteers, which are very similar to ratebeerians in that they like to tick the different countries of the world. Yes, this place is owned by a handful of globetrotters, who founded the globetrotters’ society in Denmark. This means that the place has a huge emphasis on travel and exotic countries. It is especially obvious in the decorations, the selection of books available for perusal in the library, the pamphlets on the tables, the guests and the conversations taking place among the staff and the guests as well as the occasional events being arranged here. There’s a happy hour every Friday from 15 - 18 where you get a 10 DKK (1,5 euro) discount on beer. The beer selection is limited but outside the mainstream with usually a little handful of craft beer highlights and several imports from Belgium, Germany and the occassional U.S. beer. At least one member of the staff is knowledgeable about beer but the majority are happy volunteers with an affinity for anything new. Cosy place which is worth visiting if Ørsted Ølbar seems too crowded or if the international outlook and the experience of travelling is as important for you as the beer itself. Less interesting beerwise than Fairbar in Aarhus but more cosy and otherwise largely similar except for the apparent lack of tasting menus. At my last visit we enjoyed the following beers: Mikkeller’s Santa’s Little Helper, Beer Here Lupulus, Beer Here Jule IPA, Orval as well as a well-made Capirinha (which is not a beer, but just to exemplify the breadth of the selection)

Nice cosy bar next to Ørsted Ølbar, worth a visit if you are in the neigbourhood. 8 taps with ok mainly danish microes such as Beer here and To øl. Fullers winter when I was there. Only 25 bottle not of very high interrest. Freindly volounteer staff, so they dont know much about beer.

A small bar and a room with stuff from various counties. The best about this place is the people coming there. As it is a meeting point for a club for Danish international travellers you will almost always meet people who have vistited a lot of countries and who love to tell about it. The bar has a fair selection of interesting beers on tap that they change on a regular base. The bottled beers are OK but seldom among the very newest in town. Do not expect the bartenders to know much about beers as they are all just volunteers for the club. The place does not offer food but you can bring your own from one of the places in the neighbourhood and they will offer you the necessary kitchenware to eat it there.

These guys don’t have an astounding beer selection, but they sometimes have mikkeler on tap, and almost all the time something interesting. Thus - it is a real good place to have a draft beer. (mikkeler is probably one of the best brands in Denmark, and not that easy to get by). Revisited may 2008. Beer selection seem to have grown, and they’ve got a beer menu with descriptions. Some of their beer are local rarities (tap and bottle). very relaxed athmosphere, almost like if you were sitting in someone’s living room. I wrote this note because i discovered the nice draft selection, this alone makes one want to visit. the bar was started by 50 globetrotters, and the interior and activities reflect that. The good beer is not the centre of the universe there, but they do have a talent for getting interesting stuff on tap. at this visit they had mikkeller monks elixir on tap, as well as ølfabrikken american pale ale. both were fantastic
