Gene’s Place

Gene’s Place is by far the best dive bar on the Pitt campus. 16 beers on tap, $2 pints of Guinness and Sierra Nevada on Thursdays, Straub, they even have a few Belgium’s bottles at a great price. Definitely a place that is a must stop, friendliest bar in Oakland. The owner (Gene) also works behind the bar. A nice throwback to the old time bars here in Pittsburgh.
