Bistro des Bières Belges

Restaurant de style chalet rustique, très achalandé. Beau choix de bières importées, majoritairement belges, avec quelques microbrasseries québécoises. La nourriture est plutôt bonne (Entrée: gravlax de saumon, principal: moules széchuan). Le service est sympatique et connaissait bien les produits et était en mesure de faire des recommandations. Les prix sont un peu élevés.

Ok ambiance. Been there a few times including once in the basement. Basement is quiet and private as if you’re in own basement. Service can be a little slow when you’re in the basement otherwise it’s fine. Selection is huge. Almost only Belgian beers, as expected. Price list is way too high IMO but since some of the stuff there can’t be bought elsewhere or only by private import, I guess it’s ok. Overall is a good place with good food.

As said before, great Belgian selection with a few local offs. I found a few I’ve never had or heard of. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was better than expected, but definitely not Haute Cuisine. I was there with a huge Canadien crowd so I felt right at home.

Reviewed on September 12, 2011. My girfriend wanted to eat here for her birthday dinner, so we arrived at 7:00 without a reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant is located in a rustic old house which gives it a warmth that lasted until we met our waiter. Stephane took our order and seemed put-out that my girlfriend opted for the Samichlaus. Maybe he thought that a 14% ABV was unladylike? Whatever the reason, for the rest of the evening Stephane gave her the passive-aggressive treatment, practically throwing her entree and main dish in front of her without making eye contact or otherwise acknowledging her presence. He made a point of being friendly to me, as if to underscore his contempt for her. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. The food is of average bistro quality and the beers are very expensive, so all this place really has going for it is the ambience. Suffice it to say that Stephane’s behaviour ruined the latter. We won’t be back.

Nice restaurant with small food selection but huge Belgian beer list. Go there if you would like to taste something no offered in SAQ. Pricing is a bit high but service is great. The menu is well presented separated per category of beer. The fried and home made mayo are a nice complement.

The choices of beers is very good if you are looking for Belgium beers . The service is pleasant and they do know a lot about the beers they sell. As for the food well I love mussels and this place is one of the best for mussels. I have been here several times.

Établissement visité le dimanche 12 novembre vers 16h. Ambiance: Ancienne maison tranformée en bistro. Décoration de bières belges un peu partout sur les murs. Foyer dans une des salles. Salle de réunion disponible au sous-sol. Service: Le personnel semble bien connaître les bières disponibles. Les bières sont servis dans leurs verres si disponible. Sélection: Quelques bières en fût de disponible mais on vient surtout aussi pour l’immense choix, pour le Québec, de bières belges en bouteille. Nourriture: Le menu ne m’a pas beaucoup impressionné et je dois avouer qu’il est asssez restraint. J’ai pris le hot dog français, il était correct sans plus. (33e rating d’établissement)

A little choice in food but a great choice in belgian beer. The sausage and french fries are excellent. The ambiance and look are nice. Un petit menu avec un grand choix de bière belge. Les frites et saucisses sont excellentes. L’ambiance et le style du bistro est sympa.

Un très bon rival à Bière et Compagnies. Une très bonne sélection de bière belge, surtout non disponible dans les épicerie et les SAQ. La nouriture est plustôt simple, mais la boufe est secondaire.

Nice rustic place (well it’s looking like a country house). The service was excellent. Great selection of beers. I wonder where they get some of them. Not too expensive (about 20$ cnd per person with a beer for supper).
