Mellow Mushroom - Orlando

Well I like this place. I really like the pizza and calzones. The beer selection is fair though, and barely worthy of inclusion on this site as a beer place. Still, you can find a few local or Florida beers on draft. You're unlikely to find a knowledgeable staff, beer-wise though.

Quite a good place, pizza and beer joint with lots of students from UCF.

Friendly knowledgable bartenders. Your local pub. Decent pizza. Great, rotating beer selection.

Great rotating selection and some great staples always available. Food is the best in Orlando. Has outdoor seating. Staff is young, polite and willing to work with you.

Prefer the Winter Park location.

I love the atmosphere of this place. Busy, yet laid back and everyone is so friendly. Some people know their beers and can recommend a good brew. It doesn’t count I guess, but the pizza is fantastic as well. With a great beer selection to pair with a good pizza - you can’t lose.

I’ve always found their beer selection to be pretty solid, even somewhat surprising and adventurous. However, it’s not a big selection, but they’ve got some great pizza too!

Went to try this place out- I was hoping to find some local beers on tap, but I forgot I was near UCF, and this place is not focused around craft beer just yet (although it has potential). The rotating tap was Terrapin Rye, and their draft beer selection includes Shipyard Old Thumper, Bud Light, and PBR. They did have Dale’s Pale and a few other bright spots (Dunedin Red), but the beer is not on par with Winter Park Mellow, much less the Mellows in Tampa and Brandon. The food is excellent, but the tap selection just isn’t as centered on craft beer yet. This one is a lot more spacious than the Mellow in WP, and has lots of room and a very spacious patio. Overall not bad, especially in this part of town that only has a few craft beer establishments. Not bad, with potential to be more like Underground Blues down the road.
