This is more of a restaurant than a pub but it does get pretty lively in the eveings as a dancing place. Sometimes they have a beer festival with local beers like gadds and whistable brewery.

Only 5 beers on tap, but 4 were ticks for me and I presume they all rotate as they were so varied. Beer was in varying condition, best was great, worst was tired. Food was delicious. Burger, ploughmans, and delicatessen platter were all excellent. Probably the best pub food my whole trip. Staff were friendly. Eat here, tick in the foundry - canterbury sorted!

Gastropub for sure, not really my scene. A couple of handpulls but dull beers when I visited. Didn’t eat but it appears most patrons are here to do just that, and not fussed on the beer.

Located in the back of Michael Caine’s Abode Hotel, this quite modern "gastro-pub" offers at least 4 continuously rotating real ales from local producers ( did not count the usual Lagers). Food of outstanding quality, nice " beer-garden" in a quiet back-yard… Absolutely worth a visit!
