New owner and new brewer as of January 2022. Right on the water, nice taproom location with a deck, partially covered, where you can watch the harbor activity. Staff are quick and efficient. A massive 28 house beers on tap, flights of four are possible, and the styles I tried were pretty tasty. Food is snax only with veggie options. Nice place.

Located on the water on the main drag of town. I would imagine parking might be hard to find during the high season, but it was pretty dead when I was there: both the town and the bar. Beer and food were both solid though neither were particularly memorable.

This is a grade for the ’bier garden’ just below the restaurant. It’s awesome. I wish I could give more than 5 for ambiance, as where else could you drink in the sun, overlooking the Penobscot, gazing past mounds of oyster and clam shells, sitting on old subway (?) couches, and order another MW beer? Awesome.

Great Maine spot ! Classic fisherman style bar with rustic appeal... inside is dark and dank with a big tap list of fresh high quality in house brews. Great outside deck with two levels overlooking Belfast Bay... and when I say overlooking i mean the lower level of the deck is on the water.... big ole heap off oyster shells with tiki torches and a old fire pit for extra appeal. Love their beer and I cant go there and not order a plate of local grilled oysters topped with parmesan... first time I had oysters not raw and wow are they great !

I loved the Three Tides. Cool people, great prices, fun outdoor summer atmosphere. The outdoor seating is funky and fun, with two bars, bocce, and a huge fire place with seating. The oysters were had were served well and delicious. The staff for both of our visits were helpful, informative, fun, and engaging. The crowd and scene were hip, but relaxed. Not much stuffiness flying here. A definite and absolute visit if in Belfast. Makes me wish I had a decent brewpub like this just down the street.

First things first, the Marshall Wharf beers are mostly very good and some are excellent (Cant Dog IIPA, Pemaquid Oyster Stout, Ace Hole APA, Phil Brown). Their best efforts are among the best beers being brewed in Maine. The interior is small, dark and a bit on the rustic and funky side. It can get quite crowed and noisy especially on Friday and Saturday nights. The deck seating is great for the limited period, mostly between the 4th of July and Columbus Day, when the weather is conducive to sitting outside. The menu is decent but consists mostly appetizers. If the beer wasn’t as good as it is I wouldn’t come for the food alone. With more seating and a better and more extensive menu I would kick my rating up several notches. I have no desire to see the place become slick and soulless but a bit more polish on the food, decor and service wouldn’t hurt. It also would be great if the brewery offered 32 oz growlers in addition to the 64s or bottled some beers in bombers.

Nice place on the water, a tad more funky and alternative than I was expecting due to the area, tho thats not a bad thing. A nice selection of brews on the menu tho most seemed pretty muted by some standards- there were some poppin brews and some nice experiences. The food was reasonable but maybe different from what would be expected of a brewery on a wharf in Maine. Service was good and timely and helped the nice pleasing atmosphere. Certainly worth a stop in the area because the area itself is a destination, why else would you be there ( as an outsider) A nice place to go for sure outsider or not

Great indoor seating, even better outside ambiance and hang out area! It sits right near the water in Belfast with a cool wooden ramp leading up its side bringing you into a restaurant that has the feel of an old wooden ship. It was very comfortable, with a bar spanning one side, and dining room tables on the other. On the chalk board are all of their available beers on tap with a menu giving them a more in depth description. English, Indian and American Pale Ales, a delicious Imperial Russian stout, a high abv Barley Wine among other delicious choices. To add to their great beers, warm atmosphere, and good simple menu was THEIR OUTDOOR SEATING!!! There is an outdoor deck that sits above a ground level hang out area right on the water with a great outdoor fireplace as well. If you are in the area, this place has a lot going for it and should be visited.

A pyramid of oysters on the bay-level terrace, with an olden metal fireplace and huge tree stumps to sit on. Worn, disparate lampshades hanging on a thick rope all along the bar-level terrace. Rough wood everywhere, from stairs to beams to walls. Jazz music, a tiny kitchen beside the bar, mist coming in from the Belfast Bay. 2 different Double IPAs, a Doppelbock, a Barley Wine, a smashing Pale Ale, a complex Brown Ale, a wheat beer brewed with blue agave nectar, all available on tap at the same time. Needless to say, this is NOT your typical Maine brewpub. Whether you like it or not, personality oozes from the Three Tides Restaurant which serves the Marshall Wharf beers brewed next door. I liked it. A lot!
