Way out there, but not far from one of Tinker AFB’s housing areas, so I guess the location makes sense. Appears to be a genuine Bavarian gasthof and the food is the genuine article. Jam packed crowded when I visited because of some raffle, and also because it was Super Bowl Sunday. Service kept up with the madness though. The most disappointing part was the beer - all were very watery. One had spice, so I’m not sure how that fits with the reinheitsgebot, but I’m glad they broke that taboo. 3 ounce pours available, or massive pours. You can tellthey’re not into the American beer scene when you finish your flight of five and the dirndl-clad server asks, "So, have you decided which one you want to drink?" But, kudos to them for offering flights, when some of the other local breweries don’t. Worth the trip if you need a German food fix.

What a weird spot. In the middle of nowhere despite being just outside of the burbs. A German bierhall feel to the place. Service is good but not beer oriented. 4 beers on tap and only large pours available. Food is quite good but prices are a bit steep. A unique spot but a bit out of the way.

Great food, and decent beer. Nothing to write home about, but the Oktoberfest is by far the best. Get it in a 2L boot!

November ’06: Relatively realistic replica of a Bavarian gasthaus (without the smoke). The food was good and filling, if not 100% authentic (my jaegerschnitzel almost had an Oklahoma-influenced feel of chicken fried steak to it ... sounds weird, but it was good). The beers were OK, although again not quite authentic. Worth a drive down Sooner Road to visit.

Went here yesterday to see how it was. I have driven by here, but never been inside. Very charming. Maybe not 100% authentic, but it’s pretty close. (I used to live in Germany.) The beers are so-so. Not exactly authentic, but not bad nevertheless. The food was great though. Great service. I’ll definitely be back.

The beer was very bad and having just come from Germany spending many a night in Gastattes, the food wasn’t a whole lot better. I had the veal schnitzel with rahmsauce. The breading reminded me of Japanese breading, not German. Maybe this is how they cook in Bavaria. The mushroom cream sauce was quite thick and coagulated when it got cool. Also ordered a bowl of rotkohl which was pretty good but no different than what I can buy in a jar. I wanted something in this place to knock my socks off but nothing did, especially the beer. The apple strudel was good though.

Just went here the other night for Mike’s birthday, the beer they serve is usually quite good (lager, hefe, and an octoberfest) and the food is the best (authentic German cusine). The entertainment is also exceptional. The staff is wonderful; they let us sit outside in their "biergarden", play cribbage, and have a few pints (despite its lack of use due to nearby residents complaining of noise). If you want some authentic German food and beer in Oklahoma, this is the place to go.

Great place... authentic food, awesome staff, and such a great setting, completely unexpected in Oklahoma. This is not really located in OKC, rather it’s in Moore, to the SE of OKC about 10-15 miles. The beer is pretty boring and they have some massive infection problems at times. Other times the beer is delicious.

An interesting little german restauranut between Norman and Oklahoma City. All the waitstaff is dressed in proper attire and very friendly. Unfortunately, they only have 3 beers ontap at all times. 2 of the 3 were very buttery/diacytl infected, but their lager stood out as being pretty good. Thanks for the memories Jazzbsman, Mjames, Lilanne, and Princeofnessus.
