Definitely a great restaurant that is thankfully following the trend of good restaurants having a decent beer list. Small list, but it is all decent craft beer (draught: Racer 5, Primas Pils, Mirror Pond, SNPA, FW Double Barrel). Beer prices are okay for a restaurant, and the food is very good. A pretty upscale place and prices match that. Parking is valet unless you can find street parking. The seafood is all very fresh and it is a massive menu. Nice inside decor, and service is friendly. This really isn’t a beer place, just a nice seafood restaurant with a pretty good beer list (that’s why it gets a low-ish rating from me on ratebeer. As a restaurant it is a great place). Have been going here for years and will continue to do so.

I ate at this restaurant recently for a dinner meeting. I knew that I would get great food from this place, but I figured that they would have the generic BMC products as far as beer selection. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the menu and saw offerings from Russian River, Allagash, Bear Republic, as well as Deschutes. I can’t recall the prices of the beers (as I was instructed to order whatever I wanted, I didn’t pay as much attention as I normally would have), but I imagine they were "average". I do recall there was the option to order a few different sizes of pour. The beers offered are great, but limited. Don’t walk into this place expecting a huge tap list like some of the other great beer bars. The food is phenomenal. And it should be, as it’s quite pricey. But, that’s what you generally expect when you eat so close to the water (and in Santa Monica, no less). I had the paella, and we also had some oysters and salad before our entrees, all of which were fantastic. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place as a beer destination, but if you’re taking your wife/girlfriend/fiance/etc. on a date and are okay with dishing out some cash, this is a great place.
