Nice piece of history, but other then that there's really nothing special about the beers being served here.

German bierhouse style big place. Bit away from the city center, but tram 4 takes close enough. A couple of taps, but the only interesting thing is Timisoara unfiltered beer. Some bottled beers, but nothing really interesting. Service is adequate, but nothing special. English is ok. Prices are rather low compared to the city center. Didn’t try food, but they serve it. Overall: ok place to drink, especially if you’re with bigger crowd, but not very interesting for a ticker. Ohh and they have Wi-Fi, so extra point to overall.

This place is a joke. Lovely patio, supposedly their unfiltered Timisoreana also ain’t too shabby but the waiter didn’t let us take a seat one hour before official closing time. And we did not even want food, just a quick pint each. He wouldn’t hear any of that and instead escorted (!) us to the exit. He should be cleaning railway station toilets with his mouth, as he is obviously too inept to be working with customers.

This is a cavernous place made up to look like a German style beer hall, and it works pretty well. Lots of big and small tables, plus a table with four tap handles (which nobody sat at). Nearly every table was full on a Friday night, but despite there being a lot of smokers, the ventilation system kept the air very breathable. Large outdoor patio was closed because the weather was a bit cool, looked like it would be a nice place in the summer. Service was prompt, friendly, and our waiter spoke English quite well. Beers were not bad, food was better.

Awesome brewery restaurant, dirty cheap, don’t have anything to compare it with in Romania as it was a day trip for few of us. But almost complete occupancy by locals tell enough. Meals were big enough for my taste which is not common, also tasty, so it gets 10. Beers were also cheap and they had several of their own plus some license brewed. Gypsy music was adding to the ambiance, but terrible toilets did not. Service was a bit slow but I can’t blame them. So glad to go there for a lunch, unique experience!

Nice beer garden restaurant attached to the brewery, which is an attractive old big brewery. We didn’t eat. The nefiltrata (unfiltered) was tasty and fresh and we got two each, not bothering to drink anything else. In an interesting area of town (Fabric) so highly recommended to visit.

Visited on a Friday afternoon with Heavy, his gf and Marko. Was a bit skeptical walking up, in a warehouse/industrial district near center. But walking through front door enters in to a nice courtyard, that was humming with people. Nice rustic wooden overhangs and tables. Decent selection of beer, not terribly well kept or unique, but definitely cheap. Food was terrific and cheap too. I heartily recommend the mixed ’chef’s plates’ Saw some live music (Romanian folk .. vaguely Balkan familiar but something else odd. it was amusing for a few songs). Nice touch. Relatively cool place and awesome value, definitely recommend checking it out.

A restaurant/biergarten (aka "Berarie") inside the huge brewery complex in Timişoara. We went there for lunch/dinner in Saturday and the patio was almost full. Wooden decorations/furniture, nothing fancy but serviceable, but some parts of the building certainly look like they’ve seen better days, especially the toilets (heavy’s gf said that some girls puked in the women’s toilet as well and that it was disgusting, but that’s hardly the restaurant’s fault). All in all, as expected and good. Later on there was live music too, Romanian folk, but only 3 songs and it wasn’t comprehensible for us so it was funny rather than annoying. The service was fast, not knowing English that well, but trying at least. Got one beer order wrong, but everything else was ok. The beers are obviously standard Ursus Breweries fare, fresh unfiltered Timisoreana on tap (not particularly good but it grew on me). Most beers are crap of course, but one or two are good enough. Cheap too. Around 1 Euro for .5l on most I think. The food was cheap as well but quite tasty, my "assorted salad" was spiced just the way I like it (mostly salt, no vinegar), the meat was nicely cooked and tasty (deboned leg, veal I think) and some kind of beans. Matt’s mixed plate looked good too (the cheese I got to try was like a very creamy version of feta - very cool), and I didn’t hear heavy and his GF complain about their cordon bleus and fries. Very good value for the price, though I’m not sure how it compares to other restaurants here. Still, I’ll take 21 Euros for 4 full meals and 5 beers anywhere. Until someone finds a better and cheaper restaurant in Timisoara, with a wider beer selection, recommended!
