60 This place has changed it name to Hans im Gluck still worth popping in between trains. |
50 Esy to get a tick or two at the train station. Cousy brown german restaurant.
Not much of a place for beer tickers.
But good enough while waiting for the train. |
44 Popped in for a quick in between beer, service was very slow and a little inept, one beer on draft which was ok, it’s a handy place to grab a beer whilst waiting for a train but could be so much better. Shame as the decor and feel to the place is good. |
56 In a corner of the MASSIVE main train station. Have a beer if you have a wait for a train. Otherwise, don’t fool with it. |
46 We visited here Sunday 17th November 2013. A rather souless place it must be said, but it was clean, warm (on a cold day) and if catching a train (we weren’t) then it is probably a godsend. Beers were fine, Loz had the Altbairisch Dunkel I had the Fursten Pils. The bar is on level 4 just below the East-West track and three levels above the North-West track it is as the far end of the station (furthest away from Reichstag and river. Lots of copper on view but not a brewpub which it seems to suggest. The bar is at the far end of the pub and they serve you, there is plenty of seating. |
46 Convenient location when arriving or departing by train. Decent beer, but not very exciting. Quite friendly service and relaxed atmosphere, but probably not a place I’ll visit again unless I have some spare time waiting for a train departure... |
54 Used this place twice now: the Currywurst and chips are excellent, the beers basic. Nicely done out, in that modern pretend German old-style sort of way.
Glass wall along one side showing the terrace and an arty-farty statue. Ideal waiting room with good food is the best I can come up with: wouldn’t take anyone for a beer here. Service was fine both times though, so no issues, it’s just not really a brew-pub like it claims to be. |
46 Well. If you must. Tehy don’t brew there, the beers are like the others in the chain. OK food, very convenient if you have time to kill at the station. I’m sure the terrace may appeal in the summer. |
36 Situated on the second level of the Hauptbahnhof on the far side from the river. Clean large place with plenty of copper details in the bar. First and foremost a restaurant, but a few OK beers on tap and on bottle makes it a fair enough place to stop by. If you’ve been to Lindenbrau or hopfingerbrau im Palais, this place is not likely to expand your horizon. Staff is not really interested in their beers. Pricey. Didn’t take the time to eat. Maybe next time, maybe not. |
