Smaller corner café/restaurant located in Lyndale neighborhood of Minneapolis. Small but solid tap list with a slightly larger selection of bottles. They do offer flights of their entire tap list (6 taps) for a reasonable price. The food was quite good and the service was great. The waitress even knew more about beer than I expected. They also had some ciders available as well. Not really a go out of your way place but if you are close and want a some good food and a decent beer, it is worth a stop.

A smallish trendy restaurant in South Minneapolis. Ambiance is unique to say the least with a decent amount of art/kitsch but overall a bar on one wall and seating taking up the rest of the space. Service was good but not particularly beer oriented. Only 6 taps but they tend to be high quality. Flights are available and they do have a decent number of bottles/cans. Food was great and prices are reasonable. Not really a beer sport but a good restaurant with some nice taps.

I feel bad that my total rating for this place ends up so low, but Blackbird is one of those unique places that, despite deserving credit for paying attention to their beer list scores poorly on the Ratebeer Place scale because it’s tap selection is small (6 or 7 taps) and the prices are pretty high. On the positive side, the food is remarkable, so I highly recommend going there. The taps are local-centric and there’s also a pretty good bottle list as well. The one negative is fairly benign: the numerous antlers displayed on the wall above the bar are borderline tasteless and are only flatly eclectic. If the place were named "Blacbuck Cafe" it would make a little more sense.

A bright cafe in South Minneapolis. They do a kolsch service on weekends during the summer, with an accordian and German themed snacks. The tap are craft and change frequently. Good menu that makes me want to go back. I like the sidewalk seating here. Of course, not a huge selection, but what they have is good and they rotate frequently. A place to relax and spend some time, but not so much for a quick pint.
