We visited Erasmus International Saturday 30th June 2018, we'd cycled along the river from our campsite Camping Don Quijote, Cabrerizos which was 6km to the east of Salamanca. Erasmus is a centrally located Café and can be found on Calle Meléndez. Inside there is a a main bar straight ahead that runs the length of the room with seating off to the left hand side. However there is a a covered area off to the right which is I am giessing is the covered garden area others commented on, it didn't look or feel like a garden to me mind.

We sat outside at one of the few tables located out the front, this of course offering a great opportunity to people watch, a particularly fond pastime that Loz and I share and enjoy. The beer (bottled) choice ran to about 90 (I counted) and was strong on Belgian beers with plenty of classics, so Loz opted for an Orval. There were about 15-20 local micros also listed so I had a Bizarra Red Demon from Salamanca followed by a Aribayos Z-Abadía from Zamora. This was a popular place and a number of folk attending some of the many weddings taking place today popped in very smartly dressed for a drink or two. The prices were very reasonable and the service tip-top, we liked this place. The lovely looking dog tied up opposite us while we drank and whilst his owner was inside was fun to watch.

Kind of stumbled onto this. 6 taps, nothing crazy though. Good enough to get me in the door. Good mix of belgian and spanish bottles. Service was awful. Very slow and care factor is minimal.

Six beers on tap, about 60 in bottles, including a decent number of Spanish beers (15 to 20). Pleasant biergarten to one side of the bar occupying the space left by a demolished building allows some peace from the bustling street outside, but beer service was slow - we had to go inside to attract the boss. Went back later in the evening for a meal. Food quality was fine, but service was terrible - at least one couple walked off without being served after waiting for about a quarter of an hour to order, and the cafe wasn’t even busy at the time. Better venues available in town.

Buen restaurante para turistas. Tapas y platos correctos. Seleccion de cervezas belgas comerciales con algunas artesanales españolas, a precios elevados.
