56 Just had a quick peek inside, nice interior in this old timey bar. Terrace out front and different podium levels inside. Good looking bar, not very interesting beerwise though. Some good Belgian classics but nothing to go out of your way for. |
72 We (me, dad and Barry) visited Café de Ooievaar on Sunday 15th March 2015. It is in a lovely area of Rotterdam called Delfshaven, the rear of the café/bar looks out over water. Inside this brown café it is actually quite bright and nicely decorated, there are lots of enamel signs and beer paraphernalia. The barlady who served us had a lovely way about her, she was friendly, engaging and chatty and genuinely interested in us and where we were from, she was also proud of her adopted city, she said it had come on leaps and bounds in recent years. This was a great little find, ok beer wise the choice is limited but with La Chouffe on Tap I was happy, in fact we all were. It was a little quiet but to be fair had only been open a short time. It is narrow and quite long with a slightly raised area (where we sat) to the rear. The bar was at the front on the RH side. A really nice café/bar close to Pelgrim and others. |
