Schwarzer Rabe

After at least 20 years we came back to Black Raven on 28.1.2024. Small Brewhouse still in the back but not in use anymore. Has no connection to the Schwarze Rabe in Hartberg.anymore. New owner since 2017. First time I had Kaprsreiter beer brewed by Baumgartner. Still a good beer place with 5 beers on tap and a few bottles.

far away from the center and everything that is beautiful in Vienna; the whole restaurant-bar is a dirty smokers room; the people who come here are always the same and typical stupid rednecks/prolls, the dark bar seems to absorb all good feelings of the people who come here

I mainly go here for the food and not the beer (they have a very good All-you-can-eat-Rips day once a month). A bit on the outskirts of the city center. Advantage here is the brewery tick :P If I have to decide I would go with the Aventinus or one of the british offerings. Overall selection is not very interesting. Overall, from a beer travelers perspective not very interesting (except the brewery tick). btw, I dont think they still brew on site (although the (outdated) homepage still lists the brewery).

Very dark typical Austrian pub with one "house"beer. Staff is polite, beer horrible.

Slightly above average pub. One house beer, a handful of other tapped beers and some more bottles, mostly macros. Food is good, down-to-earth, typical Viennese pub stuff. Prices aren’t low, but decent. Service isn’t the fastest, but friendly. Interior has a quite used, but cosy atmosphere, music and audience are relaxed. Overall recommended if you are in the area, but there are some better pubs like this in Vienna.

One house beer + selection of traditional beers from big Austrian breweries. Quite small place.

Jedna z nejlepších hospod kde jsem vùbec byl. Výborná peèená žebírka, domácí pivo a nezapomenutelná atmosféra. Vše krásné, staré jako z pohádky.

For our group visiting Vienna it was the best brewpub there. Very drinkable beer, very nice staff and perfect atmosphere.
