Nice German vibe, although the ambiance elevates when the music starts. Decent, traditional food & service, but sometimes I just like to stop in and enjoy the small side bar with an excellent selection of German brews, always proper glassware, and interesting stories & jokes supplied by the capable master of ceremonies, Wolfgang.

Always crowded but mostly 50 and up. Good food if you like traditional German but c’mon sausages and schnitzel isnt exactly gourmet for me. Robust german beer list. The best part is drinking from the 2L german boot. If you’ve tried that once then head over to the Bavarian lodge instead.

I came in for a lunch on a quiet sunday right at opening (11am) and was the only customer for about 20 minutes. Had a brief chat with the German proprietor and owner before setting down and ordering a liter of Spaten. The beer selection was not bad at all. 5 drafts, Spaten, Warsteiner, Weihenstephaner Hefeweiss and Dunkel, and a Radberger Pils. Plus a selection of 15-20 1/2L and 12 oz bottles, pretty much all German beers. Food was excellent I had a bowl of the goulash served with a nice array of warm bread, and followed up with a delectable pork loin. The atmosphere is nothing special but is made up for by good beer, good food, and good service.

Delectable array of traditional German food, highlighted by a large selection of various (you guessed it) schnitzels. This is all to be washed down with any number of fresh German beer from clean taps.
