82 Nice roomy pub with interesting UK Craft on tap like Holy Goat and a unique selection of EU bottles/cans. Great place. |
74 Visited September 2018. Really a nice surprise.. Bus stop close by so should be easy to find a way to get here.. Spacy corner pub, lots of seatings inside, as a few outside.. cosy and friendly atmosphere, really get the impression this is where the locals meet up to have some nice craft beers. Nice selection of beers both on tap and as cans / bottles. Nice condition on the beers.. They do events like tap takeovers.. Friendly and service minded staff.. |
86 This was a pleasant surprise, being just a couple of doors from my hotel (Church St hotel), I walked past and saw the Magic Rock sign on the wall - an encouraging sign! Plenty of choice on cask and keg from some of the best breweries in the country (Tiny Rebel, Cloudwater, Marble, Five Points). Pub was dead when we arrived mid afternoon but quickly filled up. I don't think they served food but saw others taking in their own. Really nice atmosphere, good music and for a London pub, I thought the beers were very well priced! |
84 Roomy pub with a great atmosphere on the main drag through Camberwell. It’s a 20 minute walk from Oval tube or Denmark Hill overground is closer. Around 15 beers on cask & keg, sometimes the line up is incredible, other times it’s ‘just’ solid. This place can get rammed at times, with seating at a premium. It’s a wet pub only, so they allow patrons to bring in their own food. Which is ace when the best, most authentic Turkish kebabs you’ll find in London are cooked up just opposite (FM Mangal). The kebabs and the pub are both recommended. Silk Road for tasty Chinese nosh is only a few doors up the street too |
90 Regularly showing off rare stuff, both on tap (cloudwater chubbles)and bottle. Rather good value overall I would say. |
78 Visited on a sunday afternoon. Traditional interior, with tables stuffed a bit too close to each other, but plenty of space around the bar. Good international selection with lots of large tap handles, which makes it a bit different from other UK pubs and actually makes it slightly towards a euro pub. Service seemed not really knowledgeable, so a bit strange bird in the beer scene. |
86 This place is excellent, very nice and quite stuff on keg, only few casks though. Regularly showing off rare stuff, both on tap and bottle. Rather good value overall I would say. |
88 Visited the 12th January 2016 - Nice place on the main street. Good ambiance and really cosy. Nice woody place. Selection is really nice with some good reference for a good price. Service is friendly and let you have a taster to do your choice. I really appreciate to visit this place, the bad point is the accessibility just able by bus... But this place is a good value and must be visited. I might will overrate it just to force ratebeerer to visit this place :) |
68 Breweries like De Molen, Stone, Mikkeller and To Øl are represented on an impressive keg menu, supported by six hand pumps with real ales from Magic Rock and Summer Wine among others. Good range of regional and imported bottles as well. Street corner, medium-sized and modern pub in the middle of Camberwell. The pub is to be found in Des de Moor’s “London’s top 25 places to drink”. (Visited with Finn late on Sunday eve, 29.11.2015).

68 6 on cask. 20 kegs. Good variation. Keg range impressive. Quite international selection. A bit noisy on a Sunday evening. |
