92 Best homebrew shop in Fort Wayne. Francie and Joe are wonderful. Full of knowledge and always willing to let you pick their brain. I was super intimidated when I first started brewing, but they were warm and welcoming to any question I had, no matter how dumb it was. Highly recommended. |
100 I started homebrewing last year and have had nothing but great service and support from BAS. People are great and the selection, at least for me is excellent. |
88 Well, I’ve only been down there once here recently. I went quite a few times several years back, before they moved. They had everything I wanted to brew my latest batch of IPA (Citra!) and I’ll be going back for my next brew here in a couple weeks. Friendly people, cozy little store. They may not have every single grain and hop variety I want, but selection is pretty good. |
84 Happy to have this place in Fort Wayne on the Wells Street Corridor. Very helpful. Wish I could stop by more often. |
100 They have moved down the street to a stand alone brick bldg. at 1425 Wells St., same phone number 260-426-7399. |
86 Surprised no one has gotten around to rating Brewer’s Art before. This is a nice homebrew shop on North Wells that has really been the foundation of homebrewing for Fort Wayne these past couple of decades. Though you can’t go in to buy a great craft beer, the helpful supportive staff will get you prepaired with all the equipment, ingredients, and info to brew your OWN great craft beer. If you’ve ever thought about brewing your own beer, I strongly recommend coming here to get your equipment and ingredients, then getting involved with MASH (Fort Wayn’s homebrew club) to get all the support you need! Try it, its a lot of fun! |
