Good service, good food, good beer. Has become a regular happy hour stop. My understanding is that their beers are currently contract brewed at Sweetwater and are quite good. They will start brewing local this summer, making them the 2nd brewery in town. Glad to have them down the road!

Don’t be fooled people! This place is NOT a brewery!!! IT IS A LIE! As documented on many other beer review websites they are simply taking the efforts of other REAL breweries and labeling them as their own. No brewery is actually making special batched for them, it is re-labeling! BGB light is actually Pabst Blue Ribbon or Natural Light BGB IPA is actually Sweetwater IPA BGB blueberry wheat is Sweetwater Blue BGB stout is actually Guinness BGB brown is the Sweetwater Brown BGB American pale ale is Sweetwater Pale Ale Again this is documented on other sites. I have also seen the keg coupler caps in their parking lot and on the side of the building. All were labeled as the beers listed above! FRAUDS. Lousy servers with an attitude!

Cool Historic building and nice ambiance, but it stops there. For starters, they are rebadging Sweetwater beers as their own and lying about it. I understand that they are not ready for on site brewing, but be honest. Second, service ranks at among the worst of all the brewpubs I have visited around the country. Why? We were never served and the place was not busy at all. I see that the owner posted excuses about "growing pains" on pub crawler. Sorry. If you do a test opening, hire GOOD servers, and be there to make sure customers are being taken care of- he should not have many growing pains. Others I have spoken to have had similar problems, including waiting 1.5 hours for food. Fred Scheer is going to be brewing beers for them, but unless the owner drops his self righteous attitude and hire some competent servers who give a shit, I am not making the trek to Franklin again.

Bad food, not a brewery, poor service and ownership that doesn’t care about the customer unless you are Friends with them. Been there twice and frustrating both times. Unless the ownership learns how to run a restaurant and stop treating it as a hobby, it won’t last long.

This place is old and historic which is kind of cool. The beer is pretty good. Everyone that worked there was really nice and helpful. I didn’t eat food but could smell the fish and it smelled great.

Cool building in downtown Franklin, 6 taps with casks on MWF, didn’t try the food on this visit. Beers are solid but maybe not standout. Currently brewing at Sweetwater until they get their own equipment. Sampler available.
