Beer selection ok but not large. Service is dependent of crowd. When it is busy you gotta be assertive. Food is ok best fries in town I would say. Pricey somewhat but not over the top. Parking is a bit of a pinch. I wish they would rotate some beers in.

Place is pretty great. Tried pretty hard to get the English pub feel down, and flopped it smack down in Knoxville’s Old City. The food is pub-fare on ritzy-roids. Banger’s and mash is through the roof, and if you’re lucky enough to get the buffalo/chorrizo sausage, then it’s proof that God love’s you... congrats. That said, the place is a bit ricih for my taste. Special occasions, that’s about it. The stout Nitrogen and the IPA are made exclusively for them, and it’s worth it. My advice, step in for a pint and the cheese plate. If you can afford it, stick around.

Great pub ambiance and a good place to watch a World Cup match. Decent selection of 20 or so bottles and 10 drafts. Some nice Belgian bottles and a few house draft selections brewed by the not-so-great Smoky Mountain Brewery. The pricing is right for London, but not Knoxville. Food is average-good pub fare going from $8 and up appetizers, to $30 dinners! Tasty, but greasy fish and chips. Pints are pricey unless on special. Hit-or-miss service. I’ll probably try to save up and go back for the 2014 World Cup.

While it has some of the best local brews, the beer selection is lacking.

Crown and Goose lives up to its name, pricey food where they try to put quality first. Nice outside eating area with a London like street atmosphere. Found the sampler price to be overly expensive at 4$ for 3 small samples. Food and service were good but most of the food seemed overly pricey for a menu that is very English pub style grub. They have an outstanding stout and Fish&Chips.

A nice set of house beers on tap with a few other choices on top of an awesome menu of English food. One of the best outdoor seating spots in downtown or the Old City makes for some nice spring drinking. It is pretty pricy though so don’t make going a habit.

Easy to find location directly off South Central Street. Building is clean and orderly and patio seating in the back. Bar in the center and seating for food on the walls around building. Bar has taps in the middle with coolers on under bar with bottles. Staff is freindly with good beer knowledge. Menu is English pub food and my freind had the Fish & Chips selection. Good location, beer selection and food. Well worth the stop in the Old Town District.

Great looking place, if anything it might be a little too pretty - The Bride commented that it looks like a place at Epcot or something like that. Nevertheless, it was laid back, and the service was great. The selection was three of their own contract-brewed beers, and few rather common English bottles and American Macros. The Food is the star here - Typical pub fare elevated to gourmet levels. We both had the rib-eye sandwich, which we both recommend. Can’t wait to try more.

The Crown & Goose is a well done restaurant. The whole presentation is fancy and they did well to draw in a sophisticated crowd. It may be a little upper class for a bum like me, but the bier garden is a little more my speed. The inside was packed full, but the spacious garden was quiet and isolated enough. Our server was the unibomber and he was awesome. I glanced over the menu and the prices seemed high for the type of fare offered, but I can’t comment on the quality of it until I try it. $2.00 English pints during happy hour is quite the bargain and will probably bring me back in.

Visited the C&G right after it had opened. Has a very nice atmosphere with an open patio, a rarity in downtown area. Beer selection was ok and they are having three beers made for them (I think from the brewery downtown) I tried the IPA and it was a 3-4 at best. Happy hour is good as previously mentioned $2 pints.
