Fairly generic brewpub in St Paul. I didn’t get the "old, tired" vibe other reviewers reported, I thought it seemed quite modern and clean to the point of lifelessness. Beer list was definitely old-fashioned though. I only had one pint because the waiter never broght the second one I ordered. Rude bartender. Food was tasty. Not a place I would recommend, except that there is really nothing better within walking distance.

An old school brewpub that is showing its age a bit. A small bar sit one of the two rooms of seating. An odd laminate makes the bar. A few TVs spot the place. Service is decent. 8ish beers on tap plus a few casks. Samplers are available. Food is decent but nothing to write home about and prices are pretty nice. An average brewpub at best.

Located in a beautiful setting I wish they could have performed better. 8 beer flight for $12, one was all right, the rest were not good and a couple had some flaws. I did not eat, but, the food my neighbors at the bar were eating didn’t look all that great. The place was sparse during lunch hour on a weekday which says something. Bartender was very attentive and helpful.

A tired, old-school 90’s brewpub conveniently located in downtown St. Paul. English styles dominated the modest selection of house brews. A few offerings were available on cask and in surprisingly decent condition. Otherwise, the beer itself wasn’t all that interesting. Flights aren’t advertised, but are available. Prices were a bit high considering the quality of the beer. Overall, not worth a visit unless you’re on a deep dive of the scene.

Visited with jackl. Corner place in a characterful old building right in the center of downtown St. Paul. Attractive interior. We chose the small patio that faces an old theater and a pedestrianized zone. Beers were OK, just not very exciting. I’d return for a meal.

A regular stop when visiting St Paul from the UK. Beer selection isn’t too bad but they really should move away from trying to do "British-style" hand-pump beers, never found a place in the US that gets what it really is. Food is what you’d expect from a brew-pub, nothing stellar but decent stuff. Lots of seating but gets crowded at weekends and game days.

Executed a planned dinner stop on a Saturday evening nice enough to sit on the patio, which sits on the corner of a pedestrian zone in downtown St Paul. The brewpub was fairly empty, but was still the busiest place in an otherwise nearly dead area, an odd impression for us. The bar and restaurant occupy a corner of an oddly retro building, with the restrooms down the well worn halls. The service was attentive enough, but came with an odd paranoia that seemed associated with our place along the wrought iron fenced patio on the oddly sleepy street. The beers we tried from the long list of English-tilted varieties were all OK although none stood out. The food was a mix of average American pub fare to the tasty but grossly mushy quesadilla I struggled through. (Brewery #654)

Cool spot, right in the courtyard between some neat buildings and with a nice patio. This could be a really nice place to hang out, if the beer was better. Really disappointing beer actually. Oh well. Service was alright and the place was comfortable. I left after I went through the sampler flight.

Visited on a recent trip to St. Paul. Big lofty space in an old building. Bar is a little disjointed with a huge column dividing it. Outside seating also available. Arrived during happy hour - $2.50 pints - can’t beat that! Good selection, including a nice IPA and several hand-pumped selections served at cellar temp. All brews I tried were well made and very tasty. Service was good and so was the food. Try the walleye!

They have a few nice beers here and during off peak hours the pints are very cheap (2.50). Not a destination brewpub but worth checking out in the area.
