90 I was fortunate to have Meridian Pint as my local for almost nine years. Sadly, it is now closed. |

78 A little walk from the Columbia Heights station. Bar and restaurant with a great selection of both beer and food. Usually about 10 -15 taps and a small bottle list. Selection can vary between some rarer brews like Abyss or Black Butte Porter Anniversary. Also a great local selection of beers including Aslin and Ocelot. A few TV’s around usually broadcasting sports and what not.
Windows open to the sidewalk on the warmer days and a downstairs basement for more seating. |
82 This was the highest rated spot I hadnt been to in the DC area, except it turns out I have been there :/. Apparently I am not doing 100% at entering those place reviews. Oh well, its a nice enough place, worthy of a second visit. Super crowded on a Thursday evening, really really crowded. I managed to get lucky and grab a bar stool after a bit. Heavily locals focused taplist, tons of beers from a brewery in Maryland for some reason; perhaps there was a recent takeover or something. As noted previously, everything is available as 4oz pours, which made ticking easy. Service was good enough, accounting for the business of the place. |
82 Fun spot, more of a local neighborhood vibe. I was in just after a Manor Hill Tap takover and still lots of taps taken up for that. Would have been fun to be there on a more regular night. 30 or so taps, good range. Service was friendly. Was busy on a Tuesday evening, good vibe. |
80 Nice and fairly understated spot in C Heights. Well laid out, open and spacious. Food is above average, thoughtful locally sourced stuff of the heavy or light variety, taster’s choice. Beer selection is quite good, a range of excellent local options as well as some nicely sought after national craft stuff and others. Very fine place. |
84 came for a Freemont/founders tap takeover, awesome vibe and great service |
80 Great place to visit for non-locals, with plenty of local offerings that don’t see much distribution outside the DC/Baltimore metro, and super cheap sample pours available--$2-$3 per 4 oz sample. We stuck the the $2 offerings and got 10 new ticks for $20. Can’t beat that. Burgers are solid. |
72 Nice, roomy place. Friendly service. Old Ox tap takeover on a Thursday night. Good beer selection, but have to take points off because the online bottle list was over six months out of date (per the bartender), and it is not clear if it is ever updated. Results in frustration when some beers expected are months gone. |
78 Checked in to Meridian Pint last night for the DC Brau/Oskar Blues Smells Like Freedom release. It drew a good crowd so nice and lively. The DC Brau crew were around to chat all things beery with the punters. Bartenders were efficient and quick to keep the glasses full. We didn’t eat on this occasion as opted for the Kangaroo Boxing Club instead, but will be sure to return another time soon. |
