on arrival, devastated to discover that there was no czech beer. "the enginerr was trying to fix" they said. Not much comfort,,having travelled from Oz. Found a place, the Draft Beer, on Pham van Dong, which do some sweet tap beers. OK, better than nowt

Nice place. Very cheap for food and beer. Not easy to find. Well worth the visit.

Pretty crazy place. Big beer hall on a busy roundabout with sauna and massage facilities as well. Packed on a weekday morning for me as well, the only women about were serving. Beers were very good and much cheaper than in the big cities. Definitely recommended.

Great location near the river in Da Nang. Brewing equipment proudly displayed and brewer working inside. Has one main impersonal beer hall and an atrium area for more intimate seating. Typical Vietnamese Na Hang Bia Tuoi Tiep (Czech style brewhouse) with good food in healthy portions. The beer was flawed but has potential. Worth a stop when in the area (as is Danang itself).

I stopped by for a few quick beers before leaving the city and even though this was well before lunch the place was absolutely packed and lively with locals...how’s that! There was no trouble in getting served despite being busy, as with all Vietnamese brewpubs there’s usually around 2-3 staff for every table. The beers were pretty tasty, cheap and served well. I’d be here often if this was my local.

Just past the shipyard to the south of the city, on the far side of the round-about lies Tulip Beer. From the street some large brewing vats are clearly visible, but otherwise it looks a bit like a classy hotel. They have 2 beers on tap, the dark czech and light czech, available in .3L , .5L and 1litre glasses, and one of those is only going to cost you about $3. The food is a mix of western and vietnamese, no surprises that its a little more expensive than your little corner restaurant... but compared to the majority of other brewpubs in Siagon etc. its a bargain. The quality is good too! Staff are friendly, but English was’nt strong (not that you’d expect it to be) Don’t let the obscure location deter you from dropping in for a couple of beers here...
