Original review 10/20/2010. This is a newish pizza place in the Barracks Road Shopping Center in Charlottesville. Decent parking, service is decent and prices are on the high side of average. Nice food... my buffalo chicken pizza was excellent. 20 or so beer taps with Guinness and Stella Artois being the only macro-ish things. I didn’t notice if they had a bottle selection or not. Some nice options on tap, including Foothills, Victory, some locals (Starr Hill, Blue Mountain) and others. Some decent happy hour specials during the week. Nice place that I can see myself visiting fairly often.

I would be remiss if I didn't update this place. I actually ended up coming here dozens of times since my first review. I won't change the score since it's roughly right. This became a popular place to hang out with co-workers because of service industry nights, late hours, good late night food deals, and while you'll never find anything rare here, you'll always find solid beer and a few seasonals.

Very positive atmosphere. Quite a few taps, 20 or so. Food is pretty good, sometimes it’s even better. The bar service is very fast, and the table service is good as well. They do lots of events featuring tap-takeovers, beer dinners, etc.

Chain pizza place that offers 24 relatively solid taps. A decent selection of locals are on alongside the usual craft big boys. The most attractive thing about Brixx is their $2 16oz domestic draft night on Mondays. No beers are excluded, so you can score some pretty attractive deals. The ambiance is as you’d expect, corporate, anonymous. The service is adequate. Pizza and sandwiches are available, though I’ve never eaten here. Overall, I’d recommend a visit on Mondays, otherwise there’s places in town that offer more a more intriguing selection.

Went on a Saturday night, enjoyed the live music as we sat on the patio. Service was reasonable, a tad slow perhaps and the place was hardly heaving. Nice selection of beers, I had a taster sample and 2 of the beers were kicked so I had to choose others and got a freebie chucked in, which was good. Had pasta for dinner while the wife had a pizza, both decent without being inspiring. Not a bad place to hang out, but not a place I would whole heartedly recommend either.

This is the second Brixx I’ve visited and I’ve like them both. They have several local craft beers with more widely distributed ones to round out their beer style menu. The bartender was awesome and our pizzas were cooked in record time. The bartender also pointed us to the pizza special which was similar to what we were ordering anyway and saved us $1.50/pizza. They have a 4 beer sampler available ($5) if you can’t decide on just one of their 24 taps. Pints range from $3.75 to $6.00 which is great value for money compared to the prices I’m used to in NoVa.

This is the second Brixx I’ve visited and I like the fact that they emphasize craft beer, specifically american regional craft beer, the service has always been friendly, and their prices are reasonable. And when they have specials the prices are downright cheap. I was amazed at how quickly our order came. I never been served pizzas that fast, but yet the vibe of the employees was very friendly and relaxed. They do thin crust pizza which is very tasty, especially with the whole wheat crust, but you might want to take advantage of an appetizer to make sure you’re full. They also do flights of their beers.
