Country store located close to Wild Wolf. This place is mostly dedicated to local produce, preserves etc, but there’s a modest beer and wine selection. There were a couple of 2010 Anchor Our Special Ale sixers sitting on the shelf, a pretty strong indicator that checking best by dates is essential here. Prices seemed ordinary. The teenage girl working the counter seemed bored out of her mind. Overall, not a place of particular interest.

I come here every now and then, but I rarely when inside. It’s a gas station and country grocery store. It is in an upscale town so its a GOURMET country grocery store, but you can still get your live bait while you’re getting your beer. Literally, they’re right next to each other. Located on the main drag on the South side of Nellysford, which is to say right between Wild Wolf and Devil’s Backbone. Parking is what you’d expect. Employees are friendly. Before when I’d come in they would have one cooler of craft beer, with some decent things, but only a few. I went in yesterday and saw the beer selection has exploded. They still have a ton of macros of course, but the one cooler of craft has expanded to shelving, floor space and a decent sized singles section. Mostly US stuff, with the local guys represented. I might be a little worried about freshness here, but also that means they have things other places are out of. Prices are on the low side. With its proximity to Greenwood and lower prices, they threaten to take whatever business I wasn’t giving to Greenwood.
