24 Tired pub with a poor range of beers close to the station. We have popped in a couple of times but rarely bother now. |
24 The least impressive of the three pubs that I visited in Warwick on the 28-12-07 (by some margin!) Two beers on tap, both appeared uninspiring choices until close inspection revealed that one was Sheperd Neame Tin’s Ale which would have been better maybe a couple of days ago, much like the general decor and ambiance in this place it was tired. tyhe only bnefit that I could see in this place was that it was close to the railway station to get home and we sheltered in here whilst it was teeming it down outside. |
78 Walk into the bar area. There’s a genuine snug. Elsewhere a corner fireplace. The ales usually include regionals that are not common in the larger cities. It’s a genuine coaching inn (only 14 rooms), and it’s a fun place to stay in Warwick. Right near the ancient city gates. Walk anywhere in Warwick that’s worth walking to. |
