This place is as charming as it is weird. Farm-store vibe. Appears to be a monstrous beer selection, but upon closer inspection many beers are stocked in several different places. The selection itself is odd too... unlike any I’ve seen in Wisconsin. The selection is very West/Northwest heavy. The good news is that I picked up a bunch of new Wyoming, Idaho and Montana ticks! Pick 6 for $8.99, a separate pick 4 for $9.99. Fill a six and you get a free beer, but you don’t get to pick it (for me it was Hale’s Pale Ale... not bad). It seems as though they try to build relationships with distributors and breweries, claiming to have been the 1st place to bring Avery into the state. Great customer service, both beer wise and generally. The rest of the store is full of fresh produce, lots of cheeses, wine and spirits, and lots of samples (which cost me an extra $16 bucks!). Food prices are pretty steep. Parking is fine. There’s a Kopp’s next door... if you’re into burgers, go there. Overall this is a special place, but with limited Wisconsin beers and no rarities, its a place for locals and those in the nearby hotels.

Update, and I gotta drop the score. MOST of the beer purchased here was out of date by a significant margin. Old score was 74.

Alot of other-than-ordinary beers you just wont find anywhere else around WI that will seem pretty unfamiliar. Can pretty much chose any of the beers to build a 6. Good prices. I dare you to go and not find a cheese you want to try..

Fruit and cheese market with - strangely - a micro section. Micros mostly WI or west through the IA, CO, WY, ID, MT corridor. (maybe the biggest Avery retailer in WI, for example). Wonderful cheese and fruit samples, and a unique-to-the-MKE-market selection of brews ... which are mostly not top notch. Hard to rate the overall under 15 with the quality and range of fruit & cheeses, though. Always wind up hitting it with out of town family.

Although they have a large selection of beer I think they lack in acquiring new varieties.

Stopped in to get some beers that are not in the usual Wisconsin distribution. A large produce type store with a large cheese and wine selection in addition to the beer. The beer is unique as I have yet to find most (90%) at other stores around town. A nice place to get some unique beers in Wisconsin.

Similar to the Madison location with excellent food selection and tasty samples. There was a guy sampling several beers and root beer on my visit, answered all my questions. Many beers available here you won’t fins anywhere else in the Milwaukee area – Hales, Scuttlebutt, El Toro, Yellowstone, Millstream along with others you will – Avery, flying dog and may Wisconsin brews. Never a huge fan of beers sitting out in the middle of a store like a fruit display, but it’s all mix and match at reasonable prices.

This is my local Brennan’s, so I have spent much time there. The store has a nice, warm farmer’s market appeal to it, with a significant produce section upfront and beer, wine, cheese, and other stuff in the back. The beer selection has a build your own six pack option, with an array of breweries from IA, KS, WI, CO, and other states.. mostly mediocre beers, but it’s a good option. They also carry Central Waters and have most of the Avery and Great Divide lines (including the big beers). Service is always friendly, they almost always have free cheese samples, and it’s close to home.

This is a very nice grocery store that happens to have a very large beer selection. Most of the micros are from the Rocky Mountain area. Excellent service, samples are offered on the weekend.

Weird store. Why all the Colorado, Montana and Iowa beers, weird California choices (El Toro) and limited selections of the more popular WI brands (notably New Glarus and Capital)? Most 12 oz available in mix-a-six though sadly not including Central Waters...a few bigger bottles, but this is mostly WI and western micros. Different selection than any other Wisconsin store I’ve seen, so worth a look just for that. Also the best cheese selection I have seen in any Wisconsin grocery store, easily.

The have mostly Colorado and Iowa beers. I didn’t see any Central Waters in there today. :( The food (farm market) looks like it’d be good. The fruits and veggies look very fresh. There were samples of peaches available (half a dozen types or so). Good wine selection? Make a 6er of beer for "cheap".
