44 Small place, just a bar and some tables. Only four taps, happily one is a seasonal. Didn’t try the food. OK to pass the time. |
28 Place was almost completely empty. Sat down at the bar and waited for the server to look up from her bored daze. Asked about a sampler. Server glares at me and says, "we don’t do those anymore". Ok, then. Walked out. |
62 In Madison a couple days ago for work and my gate happened to be next to the pub. Not a ton on tap, but I tried the wheat and it was very good. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was surprisingly good for an airport location. Prices a bit on high side at the airport as expected. |
60 I really enjoyed this airport brewpub outlet. British pub look, with a long bar, wooden, very friendly service and patrons, opens early. Brews were OK, no more, Samplers consisted of 6 beers for about 10-12$, not bad for an airport. |
74 My first Great Dane experience, and it’s in an airport. Oh well. Well-lit, clean, and friendly looking place, but small and plain. My bartender was prompt, friendly, and was able to talk basically about the beers available. Only six taps of their beers, so not much to choose from, but their beers are alright. I ate a pulled bbq pork sandwich and fries and they were fine, but didn’t blow me away. Prices are quite high, but that is to be expected at an airport. Overall, it’s a pretty small airport and this is gonna be your best bet for decent beer and decent food. |
68 airport pub near the American gates, decent sandwiches and about 6 Dane beers, multiple samplers available |
56 Don’t judge a book by its cover, and don’t judge a breepub by its satellite location. This is the adopted little brother of the cool breepub downtown. It has a limited food and beer menu made up of downtown favorites, which are good, but overpriced. If your flight is delayed, this is by far your best option. If you just want to try Great Dane beers, hold out for the downtown location. |
62 It’s in an airport...pretty much all the standard great dane beers you would get at the other locations...so look at those ratings. Airport food is good for airport food. A cool place to sit and get breakfast or a burger. Some great staff. Your not going to come here unless your flying so...it doesn’t really need to be compared to the other madison establishments. |
60 Compared to the other three locations this is not the best location. However if you have time to kill at the airport and have never tried any Great Dane beers the prices aren’t too bad. You won’t see anything special but the usual taps are available.
Food is the same price as downtown which is a nice value. Beers are sold at the typical inflated airport price. The best value is a sampler tray which for some reason is actually cheaper if you buy four or more (unike downtown where it is a flat $1.50 per glass).
If you do find yourself at the MSN airport enjoy some quality local beer. As long as you don’t mind the extra cost it can be a good way to pass the time. |
