82 Stopped in for lunch on way to airport. Little bit of dive but fits the town. Quite a few cyclists which was cool. Aristide if pizza choices and we’re tasty. Beer I had was pretty good. Enjoyable visit. |
66 Jess and I had a fun time at this brewery before heading over to Winchell and Mary's wedding party in 2021. Large brewpub with an even larger outside seating area in the parking lot. Food was pretty solid and the staff was very friendly. Has a 1990s brewpub vibe that I appreciated. |
80 Stopped in for pizza and a flight. Just across the bridge from Duluth this place looks divish, but is fine when you walk in. Pizza is delicious. Music in the bar area next room over. Standout beer for me was the Pinta Colada Coconut Milk Stout. |
76 A dive bar vibe with a stage for musical talents to entertain patrons, and a small wooden bar. The pizza was good and beer decent. Our server was attentive as we listened to music and watched the locals go about their daily routine. |
80 A pleasant surprise on my first trip to the Duluth area. Housed in a older building, they have two rooms, a dining area and a dimly lit bar area. In addition they have a few tables out front and a beer garden out back where food cannot be ordered. Place looks like it has changed in 20+ years. Service was solid and timely. A surprising number of beers on tap (15+) with samplers available. Food was solid, mainly pizza that I demolished :). Food prices seemed a bit steep but beer seemed reasonable. Like I said, a pleasant surprise and I would definitely hit it again if in the area. |
70 Stopped in for the first time July 2, 2015. Two rooms, you enter the dining room, but the bar is much more interesting and definitely the place to sit unless you go outside. A surprising number of beers on tap, I have rarely seen more at a brewery, and I am fairly sure it was more than nine. Quality is also surprisingly high for this brewpub that stays under the radar, which I attribute to their infrequent appearance at festivals. Service was friendly. The pizza we ordered was far too large, and I thought the waitress might have told us that, especially after she asked if we also wanted appetizers. Food and beer is expensive, especially considering where they are. Pizza was ok, fairly thick crust and very filling. Bar area is kind of dark, with lamps and the only natural light through the small, high windows of glass blocks. |
76 Maybe the best place in Superior, definitely worth hoping over from Duluth. I really enjoyed the beer and had a really good calzone. Very friendly staff. Sat and the bar and then came back later that evening to eat. Live music in the bar area, ate in the room outside, music was audible but low enough to hold a conversation over. Will be back! |
70 Great brew pub and pizza joint. Beer has been brewed at this location for a very long time and it turns a decent product. I did have two enjoyable brews that are not listed on ratebeer; Lawn Chair Ale and the hand-pumped Dark English Mild. |
82 Mandatory stop if you are in the region. They had 8 or so of their own beers. Some were OK, some were surprisingly phenomenal. Really cool non-mall vibe, great pizza. Can’t wait to go back! |
82 Great looking old style looking bar with 9 beers on tap. A couple misses but quite a few killer brews, some of the best pizza I have ever had. Staff is super friendly and out going. I will be back when in the area. |
