“Review during Lockdown Lifting Phase 2, inside but socially distanced. This is a solid building at the heart of the hamlet / village of Aldwark, standing by a river with gardens adjacent, too wet to be used on our visit. The tables and seating are mainly set for diners but drinks only are accepted if they have room under the current restrictions. There are 3 local ales and a national to try, I was lucky and picked up a new beer. Friendly service. Glad we visited.“
