82 /100 Albion (B&T) (Bar) 36 DUNSTABLE STREET This is a small pub on a busy main road, so parking was challenging. Once inside, there is a small room with four casks, and a further eight casks along the side. Then there are some tables in the back. Very friendly and engaging staff and clientele. Beers are available as thirds, so you can sample quite the range of beer. Worth going out of your way to visit. |
84 /100 Albion (B&T) (Bar) 36 DUNSTABLE STREET A homely and friendly pub with a good choice of well kept ales, which are available in thirds if you want to try all twelve. |
90 /100 Albion (B&T) (Bar) 36 DUNSTABLE STREET Have to go in at least once every time I’m "back home". |
60 /100 Old Sun (Charles Wells) (Bar) 87 DUNSTABLE STREET Nice boozer in the middle of a town full of nice boozers. Two rooms, slight renovations over the years but still has a basic feel. The beer selection is fairly ordinary - Charles Wells, plus Doom Bar, Tribute and Adnams - but beer quality is normally very good. Child and dog friendly, a true local. |
82 /100 Albion (B&T) (Bar) 36 DUNSTABLE STREET Excellent beer pub, 12 handpumps with interesting and well-kept ales. Owned by Everards, run by Banks and Taylor. Some good ciders as well. A must for anyone in Ampthill. |
