“8 ciders on tap. Mostly dry. A few few fruit or oak aged, great if you like traditional dry ciders. very well made. I prefer sweeter ciders, but I appreciate the super high quality of theirs. Close to very cool historical old Auburn. 3.9“

“Cool place on the way to Tahoe just past Sacramento. Huge tap list of 21 beers of varying styles. Very spacious interior and parking lot. Reminds me much of Stone Brewing’s facility in Escondido. Nice menu. If not out of the way, i recommend it. This rating is for the location in Cameron park: moonraker mill house.“

“Large place on the side of a busy highway, looks like a former used car dealership or similar. Tons of parking. Serving bar, barstools nearby and restaurant tables, all with a view of the brewery through glass. Server was confident she knew what I wanted, and told me what to order on a flight. I did what I wanted. Never seen such a hard sell technique at a taproom before, I'm guessing that's how they train their staff. Really a downer for the rest of the experience. Beers were just OK, flights of four (or five? I forget). There is a poutine pseudo-food truck inside as well. There are better places to spend your time at in the area - Baxter's comes to mind.“

“Easy walk from Prison City, located on the main street. It didn't look like any thought was put into the interior, kind of a jumbled mess of tables and empty boxes. Short bar. Charged $1 extra on the beers because they had a band (Friday night). Beer was Ok. Did not feel comfortable in there.“

“Located in downtown on a corner. Pretty busy place. Parking is generally available. The vibe of the old building was kept intact, and the tables were packed in pretty tightly. Medium sized bar. Kitchen and food, decent quality. Kind of dark and noisy. Good service.“

“Nice taproom with a big beer tent set up outside covering some picnic tables. Overlooks a general aviation airfield so you can watch the Cessnas arrive and depart. Tasty beers. Solid place.“

“Huge warehouse space on the outskirts of Auburn, not far from Knee Deep. The bar is sort of in the back of the space and they have some indoor seating as well as a big beer garden area outside with picnic tables and some cornhole sets. Huge number of beers on tap with most of them being some form of pale ale or IPA (or double IPA), though they also do some stouts, strong ales, and (more recently) some sour beers. The beer quality from these guys is generally pretty good, though they do have the occasional miss. It's definitely a drive to get here from the Bay Area, but well worth a stop if you're out in the Sacramento area.“

“Great big new beautiful clean place! Plenty of great outdoor seating. Some covered, some not. Fire pits, putting green, corn hole. Oh, and more of a beer selection than the downtown location.“

“Large place located in a light industrial area north of town a couple blocks from a general aviation airport and one block from Knee Deep Brewing. Tiny parking lot for such a big place but on a weekend nearby businesses were closed, expanding option. Long bar in the middle of the place, indoor seating closed when I visited. Out back is a huge covered patio with tone of seating, divided into clean air and vaping/smoking sections. Staff is friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Five hazy IPAs five WC IPAs, two kettle sours and a peanut butter stout on offer when I visited. Flights of four to ten are possible. Obviously I skipped the NEIPAs but the rest were decent enough, nothing exciting. Rotating food trucks start at noon though the bar opens at 11. I didn’t say any pets, and no signs to suggest a policy. Wouldn’t it be nice if they had pet and non pet areas? Same for kids“

“Have seen these guys a bunch in the Bay Area and finally made the trip to the mothership on the way back from Tahoe. What a great brewery. Downside is very heavy on IPAs (especially hazy IPAs - it's what these guys apparently like). But each hazy IPA is a bit different and where they add ingredients / change hop varieties, you can really taste them. Their stouts are big and chewy and awesome. Huge space with a food truck - think converted warehouse. Indoor and outdoor, bunch of rooms with TVs. Service was prompt. Flights of 4-8 and, again, it's Moonraker so everything is great. A few cans / bottles to take home as well as some merch (the salsa was superb). This is a place worth going out of your way for. Basically a west coast version of Other Half. That's high praise.“

“After visiting the garage location 2 years ago, I was pleased to return to town while passing through and discovering their new location. Only a few blocks away, but a far less residential spot. Nice and spacious taproom that offers limited food options, and also serves as a coffee shop. Wine as well, so there is a little bit of everything here. Tried some classic brews that I remember trying back in the garage, served by the same friendly folks, the owners. All the staff seemed to be family, and they treated the customers as if they were as well. In addition to the classics, I had a few others that were new, and really showed off the progress of the brewery. A lot of variety to the taplist (and entire menu though I stuck to the beer). Very enjoyable visit. Will definitely be back when I'm back in the area.“

“Located near the airport in Auburn, in an industrial park, about a block from Knee Deep. Small interior space, kind of dark, tables and chairs. A big beer garden is attached with rows of picnic tables. Food truck availalbe. Got there when it opened on a Sunday, and then it was a steady stream of customers, lots of families too. Tap list was predominantly hazies, a few IPAs and sours. One stout. Flights available.“

“Located near the airport in Auburn, in an industrial park, a block from Moonraker. Taps are located right in the brewhouse, 2 bars and a merch stand. About 12 taps and bottles to go. Shaded patio out front. Food trucks every day of the week. KNown for their hoppy beers, the taproom did not disappoint. A few other styles available as well. Nice space“

“Went for lunch after a couple years of hoping to get here. Tons of beer on tap, about 15 of their own plus 4 guests. Tasting sets at $10 for 4 are just slightly cheaper than half pints but we wanted to try a lot. Beers were generally quite good. A few were great, and a few were lacking. I was satisfied, though my expectations were probably too high based on what I had heard. Lots of hazy beers, all of which were well done. Food was also good. A pretty cool place, really. I would be psyched if it was in my neighborhood.“

“Well, well, well...I finally got to visit Moonraker Brewing and I was not disappointed! This place has an excellent vibe to it! It has a different feel in each area. The outdoor area is nice...with the lights at night...right next to the food truck (they have excellent selections depending on the day)...the indoor area next to the bar feels like a normal brew pub with energy and volume...and the Barrel Room...this...if you don't have kids and are on a date or even alone (if available), the barrel room is fantastic...a little quieter and a little more private than out front. It has a great vibe to it with the trendy tables, fantastic lighting, and barrels up against the walls, this is a great spot for a date! And, i am not sure who picks the music, but it was a fantastic mixture of up to date, "cool vibe", selections. The customer service was fantastic, especially the owner's daughter and Alyssa (sp?)! They really made me feel welcome and put up with all my questions and excitement! I highly recommend this Brewery, even if it is a bit of a drive from the Sacramento Area...it is well worth it! Not your normal brewery experience in an industrial area!! I even got to meet Dan the Man (one of the owners)!“

“Nice brewpub in the small town of Auburn, NY, on the way to Rochester along rt 90. Beers were solid (had a tasty sour brown, saison, wheat ale, and IPA). The food is gastropub fare; I had a delicious seitan cuban sandwich. Overall, great beer, good food, and worth a stop. It is a convenient place to stop while traveling to Rochester.“

“Knee Deep Brewing Co in Auburn is really cool brewery to visit and have a beer or two. It's a classic brewery taproom inside the brewery production facilities. Cool industrial vibe. There is also the outside area with tables. There is a food truck outside as well. It's kid and dog friendly. And the beers are excellent. Flights of 4 are available. 20 beers on tap. Some merchandise and beers to go also available. Definitely 5 out of 5. Absolutely great place. Also my wife and kids loved it (there was a dog to play with). “

“This was my first stop of the trip, and holy hell. Large place with multiple rooms, including a couple of different dining rooms, the bar room and a large outdoor patio area. Brewing equipment right there for the world to see as well. Really busy early Friday afternoon, it took a while to get served. Flights available, or you can just order sample sized pours of anything. Beer quality very high, as expected. They also had two cans to go in four packs, and of course crowlers available. Tap list is certainly hoppy beer centric, but when they are making them as good as these guys, I say bring it on. They were getting set up for live music when I was leaving; with a stage in the outside patio area. Loads of fun and super high quality here.“

“This was my second stop of the trip, right after Moonraker, which is a tough act to follow. Large space with a sizable outdoor patio. Repurposed car dealership? Now it all makes sense! Parking lot available. They had about a dozen taps to choose from, and offered flights of five for a reasonable price. Plenty of seating inside as well, mostly communal style. Service was attentive and friendly. Beer quality was all over the place; some was quite good, other so so. Worth a stop for sure!“

“Car dealership off Hwy 49 repurposed as brewery. Weird building, but it works. Outdoor area is pretty large and welcoming with a food truck during busy days/hours. Decent selection of a dozen or so brewes. A couple I'd go back for and several in the "pretty good" range.“

“We decided to visit this place quite spontaneously on a drive from Grass Valley back to Sacramento and were really pleasantly surprised by the place. Big warehouse looking taproom and brewery. Big list of regular and seasonal beers on offer. Flights are available. We tried a few things and found most of the beers to be good or better. Particularly liked the Imperial Tanilla Porter and the Stow the Croze barley wine. No food at the taproom itself but there was a food truck outside with great hotdogs. Prices were decent. Can really recommend a visit here when in the area.“

“Rating would really depend on what’s on tap. They seem to only have about 6 taps available. When I was in, no IPAs available, pretty much just a basic stout, brown and amber ale. They were fine but not that exciting. Lively place, was there during the day, and it was like a daycare. I’m not at all opposed to kids in drinking places, I bring mine all the time, but man it was weird that there were so many. Ah well. Food was good, service was good.“

“In on a Friday night around 8, late in April. Place is slammed and yet our table wait was only about 10 minutes. Could have possibly snagged some bar seats, but opted for the table since things were moving quickly. Lots of the tables were large groups, and it was apparently birthday night as there were at least 3 separate large group birthdays that I spotted while there. Definitely a place that the locals love if they’re coming here for their special events. Ordered a flight while my wife grabbed a full pour of a porter. Every beer was great. Beers are priced well (ok, very well for the quality). Food seemed to be priced decently. Could have been $1-2 cheaper for most items, but also could have been $1-2 higher and they could still get away with it, so they’re probably at a good price point. Food was pretty solid, but the beer is the reason to be here. Ben makes amazing beers. We made this a scheduled stop (with local hotel after) on our way to a weekend in Rochester, so it’s certainly worth the stop in my opinion, and more than likely is worth the detour. Not sure how soon I’ll get to be back (about 4 hours from me), but I certainly will be back.“

“Nanobrewery in a garage. Remember Wet Head? Same folks, same place, just changed their name. Dude completely rebuilt the bar, too, so now there’s more seating and it feels more like a little taproom. The beer game keeps coming up here, showing steady progress making nice clean IPAs and porters and stouts. There are some fruit beers and pepper beers, which we didn’t try, could be alright. Even makes his own root beer! Dude and his wife are really friendly and funny and easy to talk to. It’s a hangout in a spot where you might not expect it.“

“Put this on our calendar to come here a few weeks back. By the time we got here though they did not have any of the Roit IPA’s on tap. D’oh. They had some other nice House beers though and some very good guest beers. A nice variety. It’s a real nice place and the server was attententive and informative. We had a good time.“

“Super friendly, family run and family style. Got to know husband wife and Mom and we really enjoyed our stay, and tried some chili along with beer and it really seemed homey. Beer was okay not great, but hit the spot. Prices were good. Serve only their beer of course. They make dark beers but sell out of them quickly and none were currently on tap when we were there.“

“Located in a rural part of North Auburn, this brewery has a tasting area with a bunch of picnic tables and two walk-up counters for ordering beer. Reasonably loud music in the background? Large TV, brewing equipment completely visible. Around 30 taps of pretty good beer and usually a food truck outside.“

“A very nice bistro brewpub in the heart of town. Service started OK and ended great with the brewer taking an interest in us and offering us some other samples and stuff reserved for a VIP..... Very nice guy and down to earth. Selection was good, but only a few by the brewer, but the guest list was amazing and well curated. We didn’t eat, but prices for the flight and beers was well prices. “Nicely located right on the river. Seems kind of smallish inside but there are a few rooms so they can probably fit a lot in here. Bartender was very helpful. Food is passable, nothing special but does it’s job. Ten or so beer taps, and all offerings are approachable and fairly mundane. This is a safe place. Nothing over the top or bad. Solid prices, huge sampler for 6 bucks. Parking might get little tricky and the approach is weird as they are on a one way street heading into the main road so you’ve got to go around the block. They’ve been around forever and it shows, but it’s a worthwhile stop if you’re just looking to hang out a while.“

“Came in here for a Monday night dinner since I was as tired, wanted a beer, and did not want to drive back to Portland. Anyways see I e was a little slow, which was fine by me. Nothing better to do. I had two beers which were fairly mediocre. They have a large menu, I had the fish and chips which we adequate. Over all nothing to special here. It provided a quiet chill dinner enviroment but is a dime a dozen.“
