| 66 /100 4151 GUIDE MERIDIAN RD #100 “New all-lager brewing in the northern part of Bellingham. 0.2, 0.5 and 1L pours ($3, $7 and $12, respectively) of 8 different beers on tap; staff will also do tastes. Huge interior, like a modern German beer hall. Friendly service, competent but unremarkable beers. Worth a look. I'm sure I'll be back to see how they develop.“ |
| 68 /100 Zeeks Pizza - Bellingham (Bar) 2416 MERIDIAN ST “This is in the old Melvin location and it looks pretty similar. They are essentially the taproom for Fountain Brewing, but also have guest taps (including collabs with Fountain), plus pizza of course. Flights available, charged at $2.50/5 oz pours for most beers. Beer menu was not reflective of what they actually had on when I visited, which made ordering a bit annoying. The house beer quality was pretty good though, with a good quality saison and WCIPA, plus a couple nice collabs. Service was friendly, though not particularly helpful when informing me of what they had on tap ("a Reuben's IPA" -- "yeah, which one?"). All in all, a good stop that I'm sure I will return to.“ |

They have 10-12 taps, all of which are available in 4 oz pours. They had 5 sours on tap when I visited, plus a few more hoppy beers. Beer-quality was pretty haphazard, with 2 of 3 beers I tried not dialed in right, and the other being fine. Friendly enough service. Not a great beer quality level, but maybe worth checking out if you have time.“ |

Flights of 4 available for $12 (after tax), which is a bit steep for the uninteresting styles you're getting. Beer quality was middling. They also share a space with Frelard Tamales -- I tried their vegan option, which was solid. Friendly service. Far from a top spot for beer in B'ham.“ |
| 86 /100 1319 COMMERCIAL ST “Wonderful new spot in downtown Bellingham, with loads of room, including tables, bar spots, and living room-like space. They have a whopping ~30 taps here, with 5 oz pours available of everything for very reasonable prices. Taplist was top-notch on my visit, with all sorts of European taps (including a rotating Cantillon tap, Thiriez, Pohjala, etc.), plenty of house beers, and some other US stuff (Jester King).
Bottle selection is wonderful -- specially curated selection of US, Belgian, other Euro stuff, some wild ciders, and beyond. I've not seen too many places in the US with a more spectacular 3F selection.
Incredibly friendly, hospitable service -- shout-out to Joshua for being a top-notch bartender. Just like that, we have a new top spot in Bellingham. Visit this great place.“ |
| 76 /100 601 W HOLLY ST “Beautiful new spot, having totally revamped the old Chuckanut space. This space is modern, expansive and spacious, with very high ceilings. They have a dozen or so taps, still no small pours -- 10 oz is the smallest, but at least staff will be do free tastes. Of the two locations, this is clearly the go-to Structures spot now in Bellingham. Friendly service, OK priced ($5 / 10 oz is a bit steep for a lager though). Definitely worth a stop when in B'ham.“ |

Not the most exciting taplist though. Flights available for above-average prices for breweries. Friendly service. Maybe I got unlucky with the taplist. Their taplist is live on their website, so check before coming. Decent spot.“ |

| 76 /100 Greene's Corner (Bar) 2208 JAMES ST “As the extraordinarily prolific mcberko notes, this is both small bottle shop and small beer bar, with a pizza oven attached. The taplist is OK but not worth going out of your way for. The bottle shop is getting pretty decent. I mean it wouldn't stand out in Seattle as a bottle shop, but I did get Brew 4000 here from Fremont and had been hunting that for quite a while without a sighting, so it's at least decent.
As mcberko notes, though, bottles were on the pricy side.“ |
| 82 /100 1420 N STATE ST “Yeah, so as others have noted, it's a tough rate. The beer is spectacular, and that will drive my rating. They do take credit cards now, but they do not have a broad taplist. That said, what they do it generally awesome, even for someone who is merely a hop-appreciator (which is what I would call myself) and not a hop-head. BA beers, when they've done them, are spectacular and whale-y (Shimmer was on draft when I visited). Not a bad beer among them, but not super-ticker-friendly given no flights (this is not a bad thing in my eye).
I'm happy to be the high rater here. Their beer is a wee bit better than this rating; this rating is for their venue.“ |

The interior is modern and sleek, with a screen upfront with all their draft offerings - beer, cider and cocktails. They offer flights of 4 for $13 plus, which is what I did. Decent selection of their 12 taps and pleasant service. Nothing incredible beer, but a solid spot for some craft ticks in downtown B'ham. Worth a look.“ |
| 78 /100 2121 HUMBOLDT ST. “This place opened during the pandemic, so I finally got a chance to visit after the border opened. This place is notable just as much for their food as for their beers. Beautiful set up, with cafe seating upstairs. We went for Sunday brunch. All the food is vegetarian, with many of the dishes being veganizable. I got the vegan shakshuka, which was damn wonderful. They had just 6 beers on tap, with half-pours of everything for $3.50. I was happy with almost all of the beers, especially their west coast IPA, hoppy pils, and hoppy saison. Top-notch, friendly service. This quickly became one of my favourite places in Bellingham. Highly recommended for both beer and food.“ |

Not a top spot by any means, but it's worth popping in if you're looking for a new place.“ |

It is a hyper expensive man cave that I don't mind. Beer was cheap and decent, food looked great and outdoor space is pleasant. This place though is inherently flawed as they run 80ft tap lines and the lack of beer understanding in everything but the brewer is evident. I had fun, I hope they figure it out.“ |

| 74 /100 500 CAROLINA ST “Huge place. Basically there's two facilities. The brewery has just a few seats, and only house beer. The Bellingham Beer Garden is the main area. It's a huge indoor space and an even bigger outdoor space. In season, that outdoor space is really one of the best spots in the Ham. We scored some sweet adirondacks and even there the service was friendly and efficient. Pubby menu, four house beers and a handful of guest taps. Very busy place on a warm evening. Great addition to the scene, and rounding out the Sunnyland crawl nicely. I'm definitely a fan, though similar to Persephone the outdoor space is totally key and what it's like mid-winter will be an entirely different thing.“ |

Darkly lit, elegant and old-time feeling with sparse seating makes for a chilled out, relaxed vibe. Draft list is fairly interesting, about evenly split between Aslan beers and guest beers. Bottle selection has another dozen or so beers, but nothing overly interesting on it [yet?]. 4 oz pours of everything are indeed available, which is very much appreciated. Very much recommend a stop here.“ |

No flights - they just do schooners and full pints, so not ticker friendly. Taplist is reasonable, but nothing overly interesting on it. Decent spot, but clearly not one of the top spots locally.“ |

Small location right around the block from Aslan. Great for a crawl, everything seems to be reasonably close together in BHam. They do accept plastic payment these days, but no longer offer tasters. 10 oz, pints, or 32 oz to go. They have a single offering bottled to go. Limited draft list, of just 6 on tap. With how much variety I’ve seen around Seattle, I’m surprised the taproom is so limited, but for someone like me who enjoys full pours of a beer, and then moving on, 6 on tap was plenty. 5 IPAs, and a saison, though they found a way for there to be variety in it. An interesting, and unique taproom for sure. Beer was pretty good, better than I experienced the first couple times. A pleasant visit, but it’s honestly not on the must-stop list for me when I visit town.“ |

They share the space with a snowboard company (if I read the sign right), and you enter through the alley. They’ve carved out a really nice taproom--updated and very clean bathrooms, exposed wood beams and ceiling, lots of space, lots of light. Very cool gravel patio on the other side of the wall of windows. Long bar to one side, pinball tables (pinball!) on the other, plenty of stools, flatscreen TV at the end. Staff is very friendly, prices are fine. Beers still need some attention, but they’re probably on the right track. They’re making all different kinds of stuff and they seem to have some idea of what they want their beers to be. Looking forward to future batches.“ |

They had a decent range of beers on even though I wouldn’t say there are all that many taps. The coconut porter was great. The barkeep was friendly if a little light on beer knowledge. But she was quick with my drinks so I have no complaints. They take credit so that might be a recent change. The one TV was playing a looping fireplace when we showed up but as the football playoff games started that day it was quickly changed over. A really cozy space to enjoy some really good beers. Make a stop.“ |
