“DrSilverworm and I stopped in here on our way from Cincinnati to Jackie-O’s (via Portsmouth) on a Friday afternoon. The couple that runs the place were the only two others there. The place is a log cabin-style big house surrounded by smallish vineyards off highway 35 at SR 850. The couple was super friendly, telling us about their experiences with locals and the ins and outs of running the place. Wine is their bread and butter, and the beer is just sort of a side gig "for the guys who visit." Likewise, it comes across as an afterthought - just mediocre homebrew, really. The IPA wasn’t on tap when we were there, but the other 4 standards were. They also have an apple wine and a bourbon barrel-aged version of it, which we tried and was very good. There’s no food, as far as I can tell, except stuff you can buy in their store. Plenty of wine for sale, including the apple wines. Growlers also available. Very friendly place, but if you’re looking for good beer, this isn’t worth a special trip. Only if it’s convenient.“
