“Great ambiance and a great place to try some good beer the only downside is they are owned by AB InBev.“

“Small place off Parque de la 93 close to Errante and one of the Mono Bandido locations. And of course close to like 45 BBC locations. They mostly focus on important stock Belgian beers like Duvel and Delerium, but with a few Colombian craft beers. Mostly the typical ones like Lino, which seems the mainstay of this and the Cartagena Beer Lovers. Friendly service, nice open place near the park. They have like 10 taps but only use like 3 or 4 of them when I was there, a common theme in Colombia. Taps were all Belgian imports, which is cool to see in Colombia--Delerium on tap etc.“

“Small place near Sanchez, Hopulus and Macha on the Chapinero brewpub crawl. Kind of a hole in the wall beside a pharmacy and electronics store. Beer your typical Colombian Roja, Negra and Rubia. Not bad, but not very exciting either. Service was OK.“

“Small place near Hopulus and Sanchez. They have four beers on tap, mostly the Colombian standards but they at least call them by their style rather than Roja, Negra etc. Beer was mostly infected--I was warned about this place--but the pilsner was alright. They have a nice gravel patio out front and service is friendly. No flights but they let you taste the beer.“

“One of a few craft breweries scattered around the city. This one is right next door to one of the Madriguera locations. Friendly staff late on a Thursday night. Pretty empty. They give samples of their beer on tap, and have a few bottles available both from them and from other breweries. You can take the bottles out as well. Beer is fairly bad here--not sure if this is true of all Mela's locations or these guys here just don't clean their taps, but nearly everything was infected. So ya, only really worth hitting if you are already at the better Madriguera next door.“

“One of a couple of Madriguera locations. This one is relatively near to Tomahawk and also right next door to a Mela location. Nice open area upstairs, breezy place. Friendly staff that blares dark techno later on at night. I'd imagine it's quieter earlier in the evening--I was here around midnight. Beers are mostly decent, and available in flights. Or at least they do taster flights. They have wifi. They have some bottles for sale at $15 a pop. Their beer isn't bad, especially in Colombian terms, but it ain't worth $15 a bottle. Worth a visit for sure though.“

“Small but cool place in north of the city, walking distance from Madriguera, though I was advised not to walk at night. Very friendly owner here--Sergio knows quite a lot about the Colombian beer scene and speaks great English. Their beers are definitely above average, Tomahawk is among the better breweries in Colombia. No issues with infection that seem so ubiquitous here so far, and they brew beers to style rather than just offering a Roja, Negra and Rubia like many local breweries. Food was decent--I had the lamb meatballs. Flights available, and they have wifi. Definitely worth a stop.“

“Small place with a sunny patio out front, just a few blocks from a number of small breweries in the Chapinero neighborhood. These guys focus on German styles, and only had three beers on tap when I was in. I think they do four altogether so far. No flights but they will let you taste the beers, which all all done pretty well for the style. The Helles was my favourite on visiting. Some pastries and bakery type stuff for sale but didn't try. They also sell cans to go in the strangest four packs I've seen. Service a little slow--don't stand by the counter and assume they will ask you what you want. You kind of have to hunt them down. Friendly enough though. A little expensive for Colombia, but the beer here is on the better side of the country's breweries.“

“Great place in Bogota, possibly the best place I visited on this trip, both in layout and in beer quality. Modern looking spacious bar in Chapinero with whole trees inside a kind of atrium type patio. And these are big trees. They had about six beers on tap when I was in, of their own stuff, plus a couple of guest taps from Colon. Their beer was mostly good, above average in Colombia with only one infected dud, and it was just a hefeweizen anyway. No flights but they give tasters. They have wifi and food, but I didn't try. Friendly service.“

“Cool atmospheric place on the top floor of a building. They have zero advertising on the street, so you have to know exactly where it is. There's a door man by the elevator of the building near the corner, ask him. It's on the second to top floor and the top floor. It's a big open place, apparently a workspace as well as a bar, though it looks more like the latter. Nice view of the surrounding city, and at night there's a really cool neon Blade Runner-type building nearby. They have food, hamburgers, sandwiches and such but I didn't try. Service is OK. No flights but they give tastes of their beer. They had four of their own on when I visited and two visitor taps from Master Beer. Beer was a little shaky on quality. Their Belgian and pepper beers were OK though.“

“Within 2 blocks here there are at least 6-8 brewpubs, but somehow Sunday or Monday are not good times to visit. Astrobeer was the only place that was open. Smallish place with 5 tables. Has a bit of an improvised look to it. They have 3 taps but only 2 were on. They had a Blonde Ale and an IPA. Both beers were rather drinkable but also not too exciting. I got the feeling they just opened recently. Might be a good addition to the beer scene. Super cheap prices, I paid 8k for two full tasting glasses.“

“Beer pub in a small shopping mall kind of place. The place is half outdoor, so its a lot better athmosphere than your typical mall. You can get here with an easy 10mins TransMileno bus ride. 6 taps. 3 of their standard beer, a collab of them with another brewery and then two other local bogota breweries. Service was super friendly and attentive here. I was able to do a tasting tray with their 3 standard beers and then another beer of my choice. I love their IPA with Rosemary and Cardamon, great balance and smooth to drink. About the other two I did not care too much. The stout was just not a real stout, way too mild. The 4th beer I had was by Bicla, a kind of New England APA which was nice too. I saw bottles of their own beers, not sure if they sell them. Easy and convenient early opening hours. Next door is El Puerto Cervecero, which unfortunatly was closed at my time of visit. But its another convenient visit. There are also lots of other places in the area. Especially a short walk to Calle 45. Overall very recommended place.“

“Came here at lunch time on a Monday. There were two other people at the time, but that was it. Nice hipsterish place. 8 taps, 7 of their own and 1 by 3 Cordilleras. I think they also have some bottles for take away. They have some kind of pub grub (Sandwiches, Sausages, ...). I asked the guy if they do tasters, and he came back with a tray of 6 tasters. Mind you these were shot glass sized samples. He explained the beers to me, but I think he kind of messed it up somehow, because 3 beers did not really fit the descriptions. I kind of managed to figure it out though. Service was not very attentive. The waiter guy just left for like 20 mins. There was another girl who was cleaning and did not care for the customers. One of the beers (the Blonde Ale) was terrible. 2 others had some light cleanliness issues, but they were still drinkable. The others were good though. I also ordered a glass of the Nitro Stout, which was Ok, but too much vanilla for me. When paying the guy wanted to charge me 9k for the Nitro Stout. I also asked if the price for the tasting tray was included. Then he came up with 27k. 18k for tasters seems a lot, since most places are happy to give them for free. Especially since these were shot glass sized samples. Not sure if the guys was pulling my leg. Overall nice for the ticks and the central location, but service was weird to say the least.“

“Nice looking place in the center of Bogota. Convenient opening hours. At the time of my visit they only had their one own beer. And some Club Colombia and Aguila(?). They have two kinds of Pizzas on offer and coffee. I dont really see the selling point of the place, but I am not complaining. Convenient tick.“

“Hipsterish place, nice ambience, I visited on a Saturday evening and the place was kind of busy. The bar man asked if I had visited before, and since I declined he brought me 4 tasting glasses of the draft beers. 3 of the draft were their own beers (Blonde, Amber Ale and Stout). The 4th was a Colon IPA. All draft beers were good, especially the Stout was lovely. They have an extensive bottle list of about 30 local breweries. I would say about half of them from Bogota. About 100 bottles total I would say. After the tasters, I tried to order a Stout or Porter. 3 of the beers I asked about were out. The 4th Fomenque Negra was available. The Negra was very unimpressive and also close to BB date (12/19). I ordered 4 beers for take away, again a few of the ones I wanted were not available. The next day when drinking the beers, I realized that the IPA (Llanera) was already 15 months old (bottled 08/2018). Another one, a clear glass bottled Amber Ale was already half a year behind the BB date. The other 2 bottles did not have dates, but also tasted rather on the old side (one IPA, one Porter). For the premium price tag of around 4,5 usd this was rather a disappointment. If you visit here, try to stay with the tap beers, these are good, for the bottles ... drink at your own risk..“

“Judging by the name, and the nice looking photos with all the different beer styles, I thought this was some kind of beer shop (Tienda and all). Once the waiter sees me, he goes behind the bar and already poors me a taster and tells mit its their own beer (Doble IPA). I am like ... Ok, hmm, tastes alright, but now tell me about the bottles ... So he goes to the fridge and opens it and ... uhm ... what a huge disappointment when I only see a bunch of BBC bottles. I felt obliged to buy a glass, since I already got a free taster. Unfortunatly the second (own) beer was out (witbier). Glass was cheap though. I paid like 6k. Well, its nice for the tick, but not really worth any kind of detour. Its close to Tienda Nacional though, and Terra Cruz is right around the corner (I kinda missed that one). Good thing is that it seems to be opened on Sunday and Monday (not many places in Bogota are).“

“This is a hip place up on the hill in hip Chapinero. Very busy on a weekend night. It’s a hip, scene-y place but very comfortable. Gorgeous space, well appointed and with slightly uncomfortable stools in much of the place. Nice beer selection of Colombian craft on tap. Often have their own beer (which was out when I visited: they have grown popular and are struggling to keep up with demand). Also available was a surprisingly good Colombian cider. Food menu looked nice though I didn’t try. Staff was fantastic and nice, and many spoke great English. I wish them the best. Well worth a visit (either here or at their new Quinta Camacho location).“

“Come here for the four on-tap Tierra Santa beers, stay for the great cafe. Or, come earlier in the day for a nice breakfast and brilliant jugo de lula (juice of the lula fruit). Cross between a Spanish and a Colombiam deli, with a wide ranging bottle service (interesting crew of guys drinking whole bottles of Johnnie Walker and Chivas on the after-work shift on Friday) and a handful of random beer bottles. Location is immediately next to the Museo del Oro. The beers are fine, and are worth an interesting stop. Space is nice, open air cafe with a lively after-work crowd. Features good food. Nice place.“

“Fantastic surprise in Bogota. Nice crew working there, outside the tourist zone, mix of neighborhood and loyal folks. Dark, comfy cavern of a space. Some games in the back I believe. More or less all of the Manigua beers available at the moment plus a good selection of other quality Colombian breweries. Modest selection on tap and larger in bottles. The bartenders had a pretty good (but not ideal) knowledge of the beers. I can’t remember how much English was spoken but even if you don’t have much Spanish you should be fine here with pointing and knowing the names (from menu) of what you want. Definitely a place to return to.“

“Large outdoor patio along Cra, 12, unfortunately its always full of smokers. some gas heaters appeared available. Inside is a 10-place bar of dark brown natural wood with padded stools and a brass foot-rail. Two shiny canister-looking tap towers hold three glossy wodden tap handles designed with square label/name holders.Around 15 low-profile circular three-top dark wood tables and stools crammed close together. Silent flatscreen TV at end of bar with DirecTV Sports. Bartender constantly flipping through brief portions of English Premier League football matches.Dark wood mirrored bar-back. Authentic red brick interior walls with authentic European beer placards. Rock & Roll(radio but no commercials) tunes blasting make conversation difficult (it’s the Central American way), especially as the bartender engages in a volume arms-race with the customers.. Glassware includes logo’d ceramic swing-top mugs, pitchers, pints and three-liter towers. Cigarettes are sold at the bar. Upscale 20-something crowd has the place packed every night by 7pm. Some can be seen drinking from trendy Club Colombia green bottles while at BBC! 95,000 COP gets you an engraved (pewter?) mug on call behind the bar. Bartenders would briefly ice down glassed before filling, not a bad approach given the ambient temperature. Staff could not even identify the brewer. Beers were all clean and tasty, with the Porter pushed by nitrogen. Most popular food appeared to be large submarine-style sandwiches. Most BBC location seem to have the same look and feel, and beers, but that’s a consistency worth pursuing when looking for relief from the national light lagers. “

“A smallish BBC with 2 floors on Av 19 (corner of Calle 120), same British inspiration as other locations, situated next door to a Palos de Moguer and another bar which eventually could become a brewpub. Good if your in the area. Had the Blue cheese burger which was delicious and the Septimazo IPA.“

“This BP is located in a trendy location of Bogota. The decor is an interesting mix of English pub and old Spanish house. It is VERY smoky, so all sensitive people, stay on the (smoky) patio. 4 beers on tap, all honest but overall boring (however, this is Colombia). The food was quite, nice, we had the Colombian sampler (empanadas and dipping sauce, skewers and creole potatoes). Yummy.“
