“Great beer selection. The Bloody Mary's come with dinner on top. Usual bar type food. Great bar environment with live bands Fri and weekends. They have lotto and a pool table and sometimes do Bingo nights.“

“A nice and open setup with plenty of seating and some pinball games. Service was extremely friendly when we popped in. They have 16 taps and all but two were house beers. The others were guest ciders from Bushel and Barrel. I had the porter and IPA and both were good, with the porter being quite nice. They don't currently offer food, other than popcorn, but I think they are putting a kitchen in sometime soon- for the time being you can bring in food. There is a large open window looking in to the brewery where you can see their 3-barrel system. They had a nice range of beers on when I was there- from golden ales to IPAs and imperial stouts. Definitely worth a stop when in the area and I'm excited to see where they go from here.“

“A rather nondescript space with plenty of seating and tables. A good selection of beer and cider on tap and plenty more int he coolers. A large emphasis on cider. Loads of different kinds of board games available to play. They also have some pinball in the back. The clientele is mostly gamers as that is the theme of the place. A great place to come for a few pints while playing some games with your friends.“

“A laid back place in Manette, just across the bridge from downtown Bremerton. They have a couple rooms (one dining, one more bar-like). They make some tasty dishes and I would recommend coming here for the food and either having a guest tap or grabbing beers after dinner at the local tavern down the street. The beers range from marginal to bad. I want to like their stuff and I still order pints when I see them at pubs, but I'm always let down. Seriously, nice people and good food...just bad beer.“

“Located in the heart of downtown Bremerton. A decent sized one room brewery taproom. Plenty of seating options from communal tables to couches and bar stools. Approximately 10 house taps with usually one guest cider, as well. No food but you can bring in or order whatever you want from places nearby. Service has always been friendly and quick. The beers range from solid to above average and the quality is moving in the right direction each new visit I make. Part of the brewing setup is visible from the taproom as you look down into the basement. A very nice addition to the Bremerton lineup.“

“Wobbly Hopps was sold a few months back to a local man who plans to rename the brewery to Dog Days Brewing. He was there the other night when we stopped in and we had a nice conversation about the direction he wants to take the brewery. First, a nice atmosphere with comfy couches, a nice bar, and a platform overlooking the brewing setup. A relaxed and comfortable environment. The beers ranged from decent to very nice. They are still serving and brewing some of the Wobbly Hopps beers but he are also adding more and more of their own Dog Days recipes to the mix. There is a noticeable difference in the beers. The porter was very good as was the scotch ale. It was pretty slow for a Saturday night with only three others there when we showed up. I think the endgame here is going to be a great addition and improvement to the downtown Bremerton area. Really looking forward to watching them grow.“

“I’ve stopped in here a couple times during my time in Bremerton and haven’t really been let down yet. My expectations were a semi-local kind of casual dining experience like an Applebees and that is what I got. They offer a pretty respectable lineup of draft craft and some good local options. I had the always nice Chuckanut Pilsner last time I was in. Food is your basic grill fare but it’s done well. Atmosphere is pretty standard casual dining restaurant. They have a long bar, plenty of tables, and a patio that gets plenty of use during the warmer months. Service has always met my expectations, as well. This place isn’t going to blow your mind but it isn’t a bad option when in the area.“

“The wife and I stopped in on a Saturday night during a Seahawks playoff game so I expected it to be crowded and loud but it was the exact opposite. A half dozen patrons sat watching the game while another small group was playing a board game. Pretty reserved atmosphere. Basically, a large open room with a central bar and the brewery equipment located along the long wall opposite the entrance. They have a couple pinball machines and a couple dozen board games. No food. They were serving up six of their house beers and a couple guest taps, too. I tried all the house beers and wasn’t overly impressed with any of them. The grisette and the porter were the best in my opinion. Staff seemed nice but mostly disinterested in us since they were more into the game on the TV than anything. I’m cautiously optimistic that LoveCraft will find their footing and improve their beers, which should in turn improve the scene at the brewpub. As it is now, it’s a nice spot to stop in if out and about in Bremerton but not necessarily a destination.“

“Without a doubt the surprise find of the day. We spent an entire day chasing down new breweries, and the ones on the itinerary around the dinner hour do not serve food (at least as of this writing). It turned out that the most interesting-looking place to eat in Bremerton is practically on the same block with the two newest breweries. And holy cow, are they ever packed in here. They probably seat 70, and had a wait pretty much throughout the dinner hour. Impressive. Once you try the food, it’s easy to understand how they’re doing it. They look great on paper, but the food is good enough that they’ll have tons of return visitors.

It’s a big open space with roll-glass doors; it got drizzly and cool enough that they happily closed them after sunset on request. They mostly have tables and chairs throughout the room, though there’s quite a bit of seating at the bar as well, and some plush upholstered seating near the windows. The wall are dark red, ceilings are high, and local original art fills the walls. Most of the art is pretty far from amazing, but it has personality and creativity, and it’s all for sale. I love places that do this even if the pieces hanging tonight aren’t things I would buy.

The menu focuses on tapas, and seems to change a lot. It’s on the front page of their website, rather than under the "menus" link, which is odd, but that’s okay. Tacos, sliders, seafood, queso, all kinds of good stuff. They’re closer to Pacific Northwest bar food favorites than they are to actual Iberian Peninsula tapas, but, well, they’re in the actual Pacific Northwest, so you don’t have to think twice about that.

The goat tacos were great, with tons of flavor and a nice herbal creamy salsa. The bison sliders were equally good, though maybe a bit bready (thick buns on ’em). Bison queso was so good we asked for more chips so we could finish…and she apologized quickly to say the kitchen was backed up, and it would be 10 minutes before they could make more chips. It’s awesome that they make their own chips, and it’s awesome that their staff is so on point that they know exactly how the kitchen is doing, and they tell you about it right away. I wish more places had floor staffs that did all these kinds of things. This is polished service. It’s not about matching uniforms or any of that stuff.

The beer list was meaningful, though not focused on anything rare or crazy for the beer geek—just great local beers from all over the PNW. Refreshing light ales and lagers that pair well with food. We finished up with bacon wrapped-scallops and stuffed dates, which were a good choice for dessert. All told, four great beers and five great small plates were $69. Not an unbelievable deal, but still pretty damn awesome. When the quality of food and beer is this high, that’s a great price for a nice long meal. “

“A brand-new brewery in newly-bustling downtown Bremerton. It’s a clean, bright, airy space in a newer building, with floor to ceiling windows along one whole long wall. The brewhouse is on the other side of a rail, and the bar is a sturdy wooden square at one end of the building. It’s fully functional as a tasting room on evenings and weekends, and they can comfortably brew right in the same room during daylight hours.

The taplist was about half a dozen house beers, with a few guest taps. They have cool logos and names here, and the t-shirts are neat. Even if you’re not personally a fan of HP Lovecraft, the way they weave his iconography into their brand is super cool. They also honor the Bremerton Naval Shipyard with a beer name or two.

The staff here seemed exhausted and a bit quiet, but that’s probably normal for a new brewery where a couple people are trying to do everything themselves. We tried a saison and an IPA, and both were insanely dry, almost to the point that they would make you cough. Ironically, there’s a brewery around the corner where everything was too sweet, and it’s easy to wonder whether combining pours from these two would produce something in the middle that’s more approachable.

The kids running the joint sure seemed nice, and I hope they find a crowd. They probably need to dial in their beers a bit for that to happen. This is one of two breweries that shares a block with a tapas/craft-beer bar, and the bar had a line out the door, with just a few seats taken at each brewery. Neither brewery has food, but it’s probably time for each of them to start asking what they could offer to get a few more people in the door. “

“Without a doubt, these guys have one of the coolest-looking shaker pint glasses I’ve seen in a while. Pint glasses do so little for the beer in them that I’ve switched mine at home to just water and juice, and taken most of them to Goodwill, for that matter. But WHBC has such a cool monocle rabbit logo that I almost broke my streak and bought another shaker pint glass.

Downtown Bremerton certainly looks a lot different than I remember it. Virtually every storefront is occupied, with all kinds of cool shops, bars, and restaurants filling in around the theaters. There’s still one theater that needs restoring before it comes back to life, but there were big tour busses rumbling down the street this past Saturday night, carrying the cast of a touring Broadway production. That’s pretty rad. Two new breweries are helping the renaissance along.

Wobbly has that great college living room vibe that some places pull off—plush couches, overstuffed leather chairs, mismatched wooden tables and chairs, all stuffed together in random seating clusters that let everybody decide how they want to sit. They could actually probably stand to take out a table or two so people can walk around, but that’s alright.

They had a nice group of customers hanging out on Saturday, and a good lineup of beers—about 15 brewed in house, and I think a guest tap or two. Interesting styles from every corner of the brewer’s style wheel, and cool twists on some of them. If I hadn’t been driving, I’d have tried more. The cherry porter sounded good.

We tried a couple things and they were both way overly sweet and under-carbonated. Cloying and not refreshing, though not badly flawed. There are good beer bars nearby, and a solid brewery up the hill. Until these guys find their footing in the brewhouse, they’re probably not the first choice for people who are only visiting one spot. “

“Small place with two rooms, one more of a dining area. Was packed when we were there, I think it was a weekend evening. The service was a little harried. The food was actually really good, which is why it was packed. People were not there for the beer! We were, but the food was much better than the beer, many of which were undrinkable.“

“Came here just as they opened on a Wednesday afternoon. For being in a rather undesirable area of Seattle, they seem to do pretty well. The place itself is lovely, with a spacious interior yet still a homey feel. Comfortable chairs and couches, with tables and board games abound. Friendly staff, with plenty of beers to try and great prices. The beers could use some/alot of work, but as far as the actual atmosphere, it was relaxed, quiet and really enjoyable to be at. That being said, this was a random Wednesday at 4, so I don’t know how/if this place gets crazy on the weekends (suspect not).“

“Rather casual place in a random neighbourhood in Bremerton. The reviews didn’t indicate such, but all the beers were horribly flawed, with major yeast issues. Nothing was drinkable. But we were committed to dinner so we spent time there anyway. The food was pretty good. I’d eat there again, but I wouldn’t order a beer.“

“We came here for dinner and drinks as we’d heard the food was quite tasty and they advertise that their beer selection is tops. The food was tasty, the beer selection was good (but not the best in the area nor the largest, as they claim). Service was extremely slow when we were there. I have no idea why but I want to chalk it up to being understaffed that night since even the manager was out waiting tables and such. Beer selection was nice. They had some taps I haven’t seen elsewhere, but the prices can be a touch high. A decent place for some tapas and a pint before moving on to another pub nearby.“

“Silver City offers up a pretty standard brewery taproom experience. You enter in the front room, which has the bar and a couple coolers for bottles. On the right is a window into the brewery and in front of you are the taps and bar stools. The day I visited, they had a cask of a one-off IPA pouring, too. To the left are a few more tables among the 25 or so barrels of aging beer. The taps were all the standards plus a half dozen specialty/seasonal offerings. They have chips but no other food (though you can bring in outside food if you desire). They offer growlers and bottles of their brews for takeaway. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The barkeep was quick with my pint and knowledgeable in the brews. Nothing special I guess, but definitely worth a stop if in the area. Has a much better tap lineup than their restaurant in Silverdale. I enjoyed my visit and I’ll be sure to drink here again.“

“This is easily the most NAVY bar I’ve ever been to and I’m in the Navy and have drank at way too many Navy bars. The front room has a mock up of a submarine sail, fergodsakes. The walls are absolutely covered in Navy memorabilia. Now, to what actually matters: the beer. There are 32 taps and this is Bremerton. I’d say this place is tops for the city. There are a couple BMC taps but for the most part they are all craft and good craft, at that. I sat at the bar and had quick, friendly service. It was packed on a Friday night but the front room was set aside for people dining, which I thought was nice. I didn’t eat but most others were going thru wings like no ones business, so they must be good (they looked and smelled great, too). I’m curious about the food so I’ll be back, but mostly for the beers. Gotta be #1 in Bremerton.“

“Since the previous reviews, the owner has retired and recently sold this place to the developers of the strip mall. So far, near as I can tell, the beer selection remains the same- pretty dang good, considering this is a grocery. It feels a little beat up and old on the inside. The beer cooler is in the back and takes up a fair portion of the wall. Loads of sixers, 12s, bombers, with a good helping of things I haven’t seen elsewhere in the Bremerton/Silverdale area. By no means is this a destination, but this is a very good option if in town for a bit and wanting to try some PNW brews beyond the standards. Basically, an old grocery with a respectable beer selection. Worth a stop.“

“This is definitely a sports bar/club and less a beer bar, but they do have a fairly solid tap lineup. I’d say a good 25 of the taps are serving good brews (and at least 12 of those are IPAs...for better or worse). SPSB has a beach theme, to go along with the South Pacific name. A lot of TVs showing sports, and fairly loud music. They had a live DJ when I stopped in, which was nice. I was surprised to see how empty it was on a Saturday night, however. I stumbled on the night’s beer special, Which was Alpine Pilsner for $3 a pint- a pretty solid deal. I had a couple and then moved on, but could have spent a fair amount more time drinking thru their lineup. They had a ping pong table in the back, which was fun. I didn’t eat so I can’t vouch for the food. A good stop if you are drinking your way through Bremerton.“

“Look at that gigantic wall of beers! They’re not fooling around here at all. They offer a huge variety of good beers in bottles, and quite a few on tap, too. It would be nice if they chilled the bottles, for sure, but it’s not the end of the world that they don’t. The tap lineup is pretty fantastic. The cheese bread here is tasty, and the pizzas are nice enough. They make the crust in house, and they cook the pies in a big oven with an open flame. It’s a poured concrete oven, but that’s still pretty cool. The crust gets a nice little blackening in spots. The toppings have good flavor, though they do use some odd choices with the cheese (think there was some cheddar in there?). Overall, they’re not really doing anything amazing with the pies, but they’re clearly made from scratch and with some love. I would eat them again. What really stands out here is the devotion to the beer list. They clearly make a big effort to please the beer lover.“

“Very friendly and charming staff in a very friendly and charming setting. It’s off the beaten path in a town that for a lot of us is itself off the beaten path. Getting out to the quiet side of Bremerton feels like a bit of a haul, even for me--and I grew up in the south sound. But once you get here, you find a place that’s completely serious about serving you good beer and food in a relaxed, informal, welcoming setting. It might have been built as an auto garage--concrete floors, roll-up doors. There’s a nice dining room that you can tell is a dining room mainly because there are tables and chairs there. Past them, there’s a bar. Off to the side, it’s all big beer-making machines. Turn the other way, bathrooms. So, head for a table or the bar. The staff are so warm and friendly. Seattleites, brace yourselves: you’ll make actual small talk with other humans. You’ll even enjoy it. There are 5 taps given over to house beers--all worth drinking, so if the style is in your wheelhouse, belly on up and order one. There are about 8-10 guest taps, all well chosen, all west coast, mostly Washington. The food is fantastic pub grub. I had a hot pastrami sandwich and immediately wanted seconds--not because I was still hungry, though. Came with warm german potato salad, which is...what potato salad should be, at least the way they do it here, anyway. The bite of pizza I had was pretty awful, just cheap cheese, spongy crust, and canned tomato sauce. But the soup was delectable. And the dessert was out of this world. The bartender strongly recommended the ravioli, though we had plenty of food without getting into noodles. Later, she said "no, actually, your dessert wasn’t a double. That’s the normal serving size. Any dish where we’re not limited by bread of buns, we try to make the serving size really generous." They definitely succeed at that. I’ll absolutely be back for more beer and food. Great spot.“

“I used to go here a lot when I lived in Port Orchard, but hadn’t visited this place for a couple years. It’s changed management since I last came, and the most notable difference is in the service. Slow service used to be the biggest downside of the place, but it’s really stepped up. The pizza here is the best I’ve had in Kitsap, and their Toad Pie is a top contender for my favorite pizza ever. They have a modest selection of taps and bottles with a lot of local beers, and prices are fairly average. One of the better places to eat and get a beer in the area.“

“I hear they have changed owners and i haven’t been there since this happened, but when i was going there, it was mostly to get my name on the wall (Captain Crizunk) the food is alright and while they have a number of beers i can’t count how many times they didn’t have a beer i ordered. Then my friends and I discovered the Bay St. Ale House, which is the place to go for pizza and beer and we haven’t returned to the toad house since“

“***UPDATE*** they have just extended their ’good beer’ selection, now carrying lost abbey, and port brewery, and many others. they have quite a few beers that you cant find in the normal market, most of the port townsends, they have samual smiths, dogfish head, laughing budha, and other rarer beers. they also carry lots of brews from the old eastern block, and the baltics. the prices are pretty reasonable and the staff is always helpful, and asks if there is anything you need. they always have a bunch of beers that are "priced for quick sale". the beer and wine manager always asked if there is anything he can try and get, i have yet to take him up on this though. “

“so i heard that they had a new ownership and figured that i would give them another try. the menu has been changed somewhat, no more bangers and mash, and other pub foods. they have aps, salids, sandwiches, and pizza, oh and lots of beer. they have even included a row of shelves against one wall that you can buy beer for take-away. we had two pizzas and some articoch dip, all was pretty good. the best part (the reason that i didnt go back previously) was that the service was much improved. i left my old coments below. ****************old rating*************** been there twice, once last summer during the day, the food was bland and the service was not that great. the next time went on a Saturday night and again the service was bad, the food was bland, the bread and salad was good though. the selection was okay, they had about 12 bear on tap mostly local. the last time i went my wife had chicken caesar, the chicken was over cooked and dry, the dressing had pesto or something like that in there, she ended up not eating most of it, i had a chicken sandwich and it had too much pesto on it and was dry, the app we had was artichoke dip and it also had a bunch of pesto in it.... now a little pesto is fine but when every thing that you serve has pesto that is a problem... i don’t think that we will be going back again it again lit was not worth the wait and the beer i can get elsewhere.“
