68 /100 Tommy’s Coal Fired Pizza (Restaurant) 515 ROUTE 70 In shopping center on Brick Lakewood border line. 22 seat bar plus roomy dinning area. Serves coal fired pizza, pasta, salads etc. Food is pretty good. Atmosphere is a bare painted black high ceiling with live entertainment the night I was there and a fairly large bar area with flat screens over the bar and throughout the dinning area. Neon signs and other beer ad merch on the walls. The 10 or so bottles were all normal adjunct fair but out of the 12 taps they rotate 5 or so craft beers with Southern Tier maybe a favorite. Service is friendly and good. |
100 /100 Wine Shoppe (Beer Store) 2746, HOOPER AVENUE, OPP. BRICK GARDEN APPTS This place is awesome! It’s clean, neat and they have every beer you could possibly imagine. Plus every type of alcohol or wine. The guys who work there are all nice and know where everything is. I feel like I’m walking into the bar cheers sometimes with a greeting like I’m family. The owner is a great guy and knows his shit. He’s a very nice guy and very generous. I was so happy when this place opened up next to my house because there are a few stores I hate going too. It’s a pleasure to shop here. |
84 /100 Wine Shoppe (Beer Store) 2746, HOOPER AVENUE, OPP. BRICK GARDEN APPTS Great selection of beers. If you are looking for the run of the mill beers, they got them. If your taste buds seek some palate pleasing excitement, then this is your place as well. They have everything from Lagunitas to Yards, Long Trail to Dogfish, Brooklyn to Stone. The selection is endless. Their staff is friendly and willing to help in finding exactly what you are looking for. |
90 /100 Wine Shoppe (Beer Store) 2746, HOOPER AVENUE, OPP. BRICK GARDEN APPTS Tikku’s place has an excellent craft beer selection. Beer club once a month is fun as well. |
90 /100 Wine Shoppe (Beer Store) 2746, HOOPER AVENUE, OPP. BRICK GARDEN APPTS Great place. Finding a decent singles selection is rare -- and theirs is STELLAR. Widely varied in domestic/imported/common/rare. I always look for new beers and there’s always more there I’ve never seen before than I can afford!. Management is always very friendly, helpful and likes talking beer and making smart suggestions based on what I’ve already selected. I am two hours away, and ALWAYS visit when in the area -- a devoted repeat customer |
78 /100 979 CEDARBRIDGE AVE 20 taps plus 8 seasonals. Service and food is good. Live bands and other entertainment. |
62 /100 Spirits Unlimited (Beer Store) 30 BRICK BLVD Many craft beers. I went here to fill my growler and was shocked by the selection. They also filled the growler correctly. Crowed as it was pre holiday and they still gave good service. Plenty of check out staff no waiting. |
24 /100 Joe Canals Discount Liquor Outlet - Brick (Beer Store) 720 ROUTE 70 The look of this place is horrid compared to the newer style of stores in the area. They did not go for the waterfall, natural stone and wine tasting bar here. Just clear coated cement floors and a warehouse look. That most likely is the reason their prices are better. The hard stuff is in the front, beer to the rear. When I saw the size of the beer room I was expecting a major selection of craft. Truth was different. 90% of it was run of the mill major brands. Employees seemed hard to come by. One person asked if I was looking for something the other was hiding in the back of the beer room texting. Same for when I was in wine section. Craft beer section was fair but they do have a build your own six pack but because the prices of all the bottles, cans were the same I think selection was smaller. They had little in the way of trappist beers and that is way I went. Some beers were very long in the tooth with one I saw about to have it’s first birthday. Not bad for the summer BQ and to.save a buck but that’s about it. |
80 /100 Wine Shoppe (Beer Store) 2746, HOOPER AVENUE, OPP. BRICK GARDEN APPTS Nice place. Really nice selection of imported and domestic craft beer. Found a lot of decent imports that I don't ever see at my more frequented bottle shops. Management was very also very friendly and liked talking beer. I will definitely be a repeat customer. |
68 /100 Wine Shoppe (Beer Store) 2746, HOOPER AVENUE, OPP. BRICK GARDEN APPTS Newer store that opened recently. Very nice layout inside with a huge cooler. Lots of belgians and nice domestic selection also. Prices are halfway decent on some items. Seems like they have a lot of "old" beer on the shelves and past seasonals. I believe this is the sister store to Wine World as they look to have the same bottles as the other store....odd, but a decent stop. |
50 /100 Joe Canals Discount Liquor Outlet - Brick (Beer Store) 720 ROUTE 70 Big Warehouse. Craft beer section in the back. Not the greatest selection, but decent single bottle/mix six pack section. Good for finding a few new ticks and a decent price. |
78 /100 Spirits Unlimited (Beer Store) 30 BRICK BLVD Typical liquor store feel. Tons of craft beer for a smaller store. Really like this Spirits. Seems like they get a lot of different stuff that the other Spirits in the area don't get. Always good for finding something I'm looking for, or for getting a new release. Employees are always friendly and eager to assist. |
100 /100 Wine World (Beer Store) 2085 RT 88 EAST This place is awesome. Great beer selection. The biggest around (well maybe next to their new store). This is a beer lovers paradise. Very helpful people. Shop here all the time now. Both locations are great and they have different beer at each place. |
60 /100 Wine World (Beer Store) 2085 RT 88 EAST This place is pretty solid for what it is. They have moved down the road a bit into a different strip mall. Dont expect Mr. Beergeek to help you out. Just some Indian guys with some awesome techno music blasting. Nice selection of Belgians and imports. BFM, 3F, Rochefort, ect. Americans are well represented too, Stone, ST, Allagash, ect. Decent amount for craft doors, about 1/2 of the beer cooler. Pricing varies and some of their stock is old. They do have Brewdog Tactical and Sink.......qudos to them |
84 /100 Spirits Unlimited (Beer Store) 30 BRICK BLVD This store has been here for a long time but really stepped up their craft beer game over the last few years. The beer section has recently been expanded and new bottles are pretty easy to find on several "wine" racks which now house predominantly America craft with the occasion Brew Dog or new Italian craft sneaking in. The 6 tap growler station sometimes brings in draft only beers but other then them I normally won’t fill up there because I find the prices ridiculously high. A 64 oz growler is often more expensive then the 72 oz 6pack which you could just as easily grab. The beer buyer is on top of his game and tries to bring in the newest and best beers around and sells them at a fair price. I have had bottles put aside for me so service is quite good. Except for the growler station which is overpriced this place is worth a stop. |
68 /100 Wine World (Beer Store) 2085 RT 88 EAST Clearly, this place caters to the winos more then us. However, there is a good selection of individual bottles and 4/6 packs of microbrews and imports. Lots of Stone, Dogfish and Rogue varieties and some Belgian beers like Rochefort 8 and 10, LaChouffe, and St Bernardus. Prices are fairly standard. It’s a good place for the quick stop. |
