“Me and Loz visited here on Sunday 16th March 2014. I know that for mappings sake places have to be aligned to the nearest postcode town but please be aware that Brill is probably 25-30 minutes and about 14-15 miles by car from Aylesbury in fact it is much, much closer to Thame and Bicester 6 & 8 miles respectively. Anyway back to the pub that is in Brill (not Aylesbury). First time visit to this pub which is a surprise really as it is so relatively close. The pub is situated at the church end of Brill a village worth visiting as it offers some great views over the local Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside. This is really a restaurant first pub second I guess but it still has enough pubby credentials to qualify as a pub. It really was a superb March day when we arrived not a cloud in the sky and very decent temperatures for the time of year. Its a much larger place than it appears from the front, it stretches right back from the main road to sit opposite the church entrance at the rear, we sat in the garden. On handpump was a Gun Dog Porter, Vale, XT amber (rebadged for here) and a Tiny Rebel Cwtch, we settled for the latter which was good but nothing special, Loz was a little disappointed as she likes Tiny Rebel but this didn’t have the hoppy bite and crispness of their others, though I guess that it is an amber ale and not one of the hoppy golden beers. I will try to get here again, I think a cycle ride (albeit very taxing up Brill hill) may be in order.“

“Small shop attached to the brewery where you can pick up a decent selection of some 50-60 beers (approx) with a good smattering of Belgian, US and others amongst and also their own Vale beers are also available both bottled and also on tap to take away. Friendly and very helpful staff and prices reasonable to.“
