50 /100 LYNDHURST ROAD
“Stylish country hotel just north of the town and river where the National Park begins again. The bar is on the right of reception, but don't forget to take any muddy boots off! They have a terrace to drink on too. Probably the main reason to come here is because they brew their own beers, although not necessarily all year round as I found out. They had run-out with an estimated return of their own in 3 weeks time when I visited in September 2022. In the meantime their pump was sporting a Ringwood Boondoggle.“

“The least plush of the three pubs immediately to the north of the train station entrance. It's nice enough though with a couple of rooms around a bar against the back wall of the main front facing one that has television screens for sport. Nicer though is its well laid out stones-under-foot terrace at the pub's side. Three local cask ales should be available with a seasonal available when I visited.“

54 /100 LYNDHURST ROAD,
“Now renamed The Huntsman and looking like a boutique hotel, it still has a recognisable 'bar' area, garden and large car park for visitors whether staying or not. Looking plush and modern, its four cask pumps all have Ringwood regular ales adorning them. Food pub.“

52 /100 LYNDHURST ROAD,
“One of several pubs immediately on the north side of the level crossing at the train station. This is a large Marstons pub with car park and beer garden. Inside it's open plan and welcoming enough, with everything being quite plush in decor and decoration. It has its own rebranded ale, which I believe is Ringwood Razor Back, plus another Marston brewery regular. A food pub.“

50 /100 LYNDHURST ROAD,
“Four beers from Ringwoods or Marstons on when I was there - nothing unusual. Staff are pretty friendly considering how busy it is with tourists. Definitely food-led, but pleasant sitting out in the garden in the summer. Quite pleasant inside too, but like I say it’s a bit over-run. Food was serviceable, nothing more than that. OK.“

52 /100 LYNDHURST ROAD,
“Large pub on the Lyndhurst road in Brockenhurst, the most northerly of the three. It appears to have had many additions over the years from the original cottage. There is a large bar and restaurant area, the whole pub does have the feel of a hotel foyer inside. The garden does appear to attract many families with children. Mostly Marston’s beer but with a couple of guests on our visit.“

“A Victorian pub in the centre of this busy New Forest village / town. This appears to be the locals pub with sports of all types being shown at full volume. The beers are from the Marston’s stable but well kept. The outside seating is popular for those wishing to escape the sport.“

56 /100 LYNDHURST ROAD,
“Large pub on the main road through Brockenhurst. The pub is mostly set aside for food and dining, and seems very popular for that, but at the bar are a couple of hand pumps and also 3 gravity poured casks (in fake wooden casks) at busy times. The beers are all from the Marstons stable including the pub badged Snakecatcher, which is Ringwood Best. The garden is popular on warm afternoons.“
