“Updated March 2015 - I live two blocks away now, so stop in more regularly. The selection of quality stuff has improved slightly, but the best thing about this place is a gem like Hopslam shows up every once in a while. Obviously, Crow153248’s review is a plant by someone connected to the store. In the immediate area, this is your only choice if you’re looking for craft beer. Gennaro at 87th and Central is a better choice for 5 minutes more of driving. The selection is fairly impressive for a standard, run-of-the-mill Chicago-area liquor store that typically caters to those who prefer their beer in higher quantity as compared to quality. Maybe 40-50 different craft beers? Though most are not my favorites. It’ll do in a pinch, though I did find 3F Alpha King here once. It’s also 2 blocks from my girlfriend’s house, so that’s a bonus.“

“ Nice find on the south side. Never been to Chucks, but ive been regaled with tales of his alchemic ways with cajun, mexican, and BBQ. Hope to return and eat at the restaurant someday soon. Stopped in at the Voodoo Lounge section of the establishment, double doors on the left side of the building. Decor was your average sports bar, but clean, with some hand-painted cajun-themed signs and macro BMC banners everywhere. Rectangular island bar in the center of things, with a glazed concrete counter top. Service was quick and friendly at the bar. Bottle selection was great for the area, and was diverse style wise. Plenty of solid local options like Alpha King, Bourbon County, Two Hearted and more. Noticed the range of three St. Bernardus in the cooler, and a number of quality Belgians on the bottle menu. Plenty of macros too, and the crowd seemed to be geared that way. Tap selection was average to below average with no craft on tap besides Abita. Ill definitely return for the food, which I hear is amazing. Not a huge craft beer oasis, but a worthy detour from Midway or points south for sure.“

“This place was obviously entered by someone who’s connected to it. Still, with little else in that area, it possibly should remain on the database. Like most southwest side Chicago area liquor stores, there is a lot of BMCs to be had. However, there are a bunch of Eastern European imports, popular Belgian beers, 3F, Sierra Nevada, a handful of other craft breweries. Should you find yourself in this area and in need of beer, you could do much, much worse. And I actually found three beers that I haven’t had - a malt liquor, a Polish beer, and a Belgian ale.“
