56 /100 THE CROSS Stopped here on a driving tour around the New Forest with the in-laws. Typical Greene King size pub, cosy atmosphere. Food was decent for a chain pub. One cask which was in excellent condition. Service good. Dog friendly. For a beer stop, I would probably go elsewhere, but for a family lunch time stop it did the trick. |
70 /100 THE CROSS Got married in Burley and visited this pub a few days before I got hitched. Nice, good value food and a few decent ales on tap. Good atmosphere. |
66 /100 THE CROSS Spacious old fashioned place in the lovely location of Burly in the New Forest. There’s several different rooms, a separate area for eating, open fires, a cozy feel and a small selection of cask ales. Fairly decent pub food and normal prices. Not worth going out of your way of as a craft beer destination but a nice enough place to stop off if you’re in the area. |
